After years of consideration i have decided to go for it.I have v good skin apart from forehead which are caused by constant squinting over the years when i don't wear my glasses.Botox doc I met at friends said i was ideal candidate as if your face is just wrinkly everywhere it prob needs something more like fillers but mine is just one area and caused be repetitive movement. What i really want to know is does it hurt and any disasters anyone?

The raised eyebrow is good actually if only the other one matched! The lack of movemnet is disconcerting.I have to pretend to dp that i love it because of the £ when in reality i couldn't give a monkeys

but do you look fresher? I dream of looking fresher. I don't give a fuck about moving my face. Highly over-rated. Grin

CybillLiberty · 09/12/2010 16:23

Helo nodders I was thinking about you and your forehead today! Interesting that you are 'nonplussed'? by results? maybe in a few days when its really kicked in you might feel differently?

brimfull · 09/12/2010 16:34

fascintating thread
dont think I ever have the balls to do it

UpsyDaisyDo · 09/12/2010 16:46

I've had it done a number of time and think its fab! I've always had dreadful crows feet and this just magicly erases them. Have had the full on frozen forehead look too although don't have so much in this area now as it is rather weird not being able to move your forehead. Yes - fresher definitely - youger... not sure.

Doesn't hurt a bit and is over very quickly.

noddyholder · 09/12/2010 16:51

It is getting 'more' by the hour now or so it seems.I really am not bothered which is a relief to me because I am horrendously vain or thought i was!I def look fresher not younger neccesarily. Not really supposed to see full effect until sunday will prob look like spock by then Grin

How long do results last and does it get worse over time? I suppose some would be natural ageing effect, but do you need to keep topping up?

CybillLiberty · 09/12/2010 18:45

I have a big old blue vein that runs up and under one eye (I'm QUITE the cover gal)

I thought that might stop me from getting crows feet done ,were I ever to go down that route

waddya reckon?

moragbellingham · 09/12/2010 18:52

I think I'd be getting a consultation from a surgeon first (obviously a free one!!). Don't know if anywhere offers this service though.

noddyholder · 09/12/2010 19:37

I have a nice bruise on one side aswell.Cyb don't think that would deter!I have decided to reserve judgement until the weekend is over I have a few do's this weekend will be interesting to see if anyone notices.ds keeps saying how's the botox like its my little friend!

noddyholder · 10/12/2010 08:00

Day 5 and I officially don't like it!no matter how i look in the mirror it isn't 'me'.Never again bring on the wrinkles just looked at ds who is 16 and he is supposed to be smooth and young and I'm not.But in terms of pain and whether or not it 'works' I can,t fault it its jusy not for me Smile

That's a shame noddy. But nothing ventured......

brimfull · 10/12/2010 08:28

SO you like how it looks but don't like how it feels?

noddyholder · 10/12/2010 08:32

No i don't like any of it!It feels heavy and my eyes look somehow static and tired even thogh they aren't.it give a sort of blankness that I don't like.maybe when I go back for the follow up he can do something.I am glad i did it though as I always wondered. It is not a wonder cure

OP posts:
brimfull · 10/12/2010 08:34

oh right
did you post before and after pics?
is it a dramatic change?
does your dh notice?

noddyholder · 10/12/2010 08:51

I don't have teh before pic he took will egt one when I go back.My forehead is smooth now but the relaxed brow definitely causes the area around the eye to look more full and tired I think this happens if your eyelids are already 'old'!It would probably be good in your 30s but I am 45 and it has not done what i expected. If you can't lift your brow eyes can look puffy.I know now that sleep water and decent make up are enough for me.If the brows can be raised a bit with more when I go back I'll give it a go but once this wears off then no i won't do it again.

Thanks ruby!I really hope that stops as apart from that ir looks good and I want to enjoy it even if I never have it again.I got back from sainsburys (exciting life here)this morning and grabbed a band and put my hair up on top of head in a croydon type bun to hoover up and caught sight of myself and tbh I would usually look horrendous with my hair like this and it looks ok!Maybe i need to get used to the smooth look.
