Georgina, that's MY jessie dress! I've worn it once and got loads of (surprised) compliments Smile

LowLevelWhingeing · 27/11/2010 14:09

Although it was a toss up with this. It's not like I'm cooking so all I would have to do is sit and drink lambrusco wine and change the odd nappy.

GeorginaWorsley · 27/11/2010 14:09

Sorry LOWGrin

Agree it is super flattering, indeed I am wondering whether I can get away with wearing it for work party,or whether it is a day dress only.

LowLevelWhingeing · 27/11/2010 14:11

No. You'd be better with my other suggestion for the office party.

usualsuspect · 27/11/2010 14:13

I'm wearing this

hillyhilly · 27/11/2010 14:20

I like all the dresses but (typical me!) love Issa (ie the most expensive) one the most.
I bought a couple of lovely dresses a few weeks ago at TK Maxx for £49.99 each and may wear the Calvin Klein knitted one which is a deep cerise/ cherry colour.
I've been wearing it out with boots but have to admit that Maize's comment made me snort as I always end up in trousers so I can wear my slippers!
Plus the fact that I have MIL who DOES NOT DO dressing up and will spend all day commenting on the fact that I have (in that way that turns it from a compliment to plain annoying as its repeated so often and followed by "I hate dressing up, I never know what to wear") ad bloody infinitum

CDMforever · 27/11/2010 14:30

I recently bought a most splendiforous frock from m and s (don't know how to do links so can't show you. Don't want to anyway as I don't want too many other punters knowing about it!)
However when I said to DH that I would be wearing it xmas day he chortled loudly and said "What about the LOs grabbing hands?" Indeed it would be too risky, all the sequins would disappear.....planning to wear it for only another 12 occasions before xmas.

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 27/11/2010 14:51

GN - love that dress - and lots of the others - have just been on the site and bought a red one - thanks!!!!

bacon · 27/11/2010 15:05

We always dress up, its a special day!

I usually have a lovely dress but have to search yet to find something special.

I always dress the children lovely too.

jewelsforxmasplease · 27/11/2010 15:59

thanks for that harrods code, it worked on ugg kensingtons, making tham £160,& now i can't decide!

Figgyrolls · 27/11/2010 20:02

mama- 12week post mummy belly i.e chocolate cake rolls and giant bf boobs!

moragbellingham · 28/11/2010 09:10

Beginning to feel a bit SWF here (but by coincidenceGrin I hasten to add).

I ordered the Jessie dress a few days back too as I love red and was on special offer!. Hopefully I can cook/spill wine in that one.

I don't go out that much and so I think of Xmas day as an excuse to dress everyone up.

Present opening and photos/videos are all done in slobby dressing gowns, no make-up and bedhead hair so got to look halfway decent the rest of the day.

mamatomany · 28/11/2010 12:24

Figgy - much the same myself this time 26 weeks on, can't seem to get motivated. I was looking through the baby photo's of the Dc before this one and she's 3 months old and I am wearing a mini skirt back at my normal weight :(

diddl · 28/11/2010 12:40

I´ve got a black knitted dress.

Well, tunic, but I´m such a shortarse that it´s a dress on meGrin

Figgyrolls · 28/11/2010 22:21

Mama - you brought to our attention the beautiful dress on the Harrods website, and I dithered and missed it in my size.

I am a twat! Should have gone for it! Piddle, back to what I wore last year then, although my mum bought me this as a treat as she was feeling super nice christmassy? just don't know what to wear with it!

mamatomany · 29/11/2010 14:09

Well I am not getting mine either :( just had an email from Harrods saying out of stock try again in 2-4 weeks time, presumably without the discount double :( :(

mamatomany · 29/11/2010 14:11

I'd go with black leggings but that's my answer to everything Figgy.
I've decided to be sensible and wear one of the many red coast dresses i tend to buy in december.

WanderingInAWinterWonderland · 29/11/2010 14:24

I got this to wear Christmas day www.usc.co.uk/Vila-Gamina-Dress/00190440301900,default,pd.html?cgid=WD. I got it a size bigger as I'm pg but it goes over my bump nicely!

MooMooFarm · 29/11/2010 14:30

OMG you all make me feel very slobbish! If we manage to get out of our dressing gowns at some point on Christmas day we're doing well! And then it's only 'every day' stuff. Maybe if we went out we'd make more effort, but we're always at home for Christmas day.

notyummy · 29/11/2010 14:32

I am wearing this on Christmas Day. It had a full page in the Observer fashion magazine yesterday....BUT I HAD IT FIRST! Grin

Figgyrolls · 29/11/2010 18:45

Oh no mama bad luck!
