Not so inspired but I do so hate being threadless.

bonsoir That really sounds delicious! With food like that no surprise the party was a success.

FritziGreenEyes · 21/11/2010 16:30

Last question re the weights for shredding: Do I need 1kg for each hand or 1kg in total, i.e. two weights à 0,5kg?

carciofi · 21/11/2010 16:35

Sounds delicious, Bonsoir!

Bonsoir Good menu. Glad the party was a success. I love entertaining but one should never underestimate how long it takes to lay a table!

Romanarama · 21/11/2010 16:49

Hi everyone. Good cake eie - sorry you're having a bad time at the mo. ny is clearly some kind of Amazonian so let's not use her as a benchmark for mortals Wink

We've been out every day and every evening, am having loads of fun. I'm so impressed with your Janice styling descriptions that I'm going to buy it this evening if it's still in stock.

Party sounds good bonsoir, great recipes - well done. I hope everyone appreciated it all.
I have NOT been invited to a glamorous party on 4 December Angry Envy. Can you hint whose it is?

How much I wish it was Saturday evening, not Sunday evening.

Bonsoir · 21/11/2010 16:53

Marsha - do you ever come to Paris to visit your family?

hf128219 - I know, laying the table takes an age, and we had to move furniture around yesterday - I can only seat ten in the dining room before I need to reorganise. Ages to lay the table, ages to clear it all up and put it back to rights!

Only 10 days until I give the next dinner party! I've got that pre-Christmas feeling...

pickledsiblings · 21/11/2010 16:55

Thanks for your tips ladies. I went for the shearling + layers, warm boots, jeans and a grey cable knit beanie (plus my warehouse scarf because I can't part with it). Next time I will definitely go for ljs underneath jeans - it's supposed to 'feel' minus ten next week Shock.

I am very impressed at your entertaining prowess Bonsoir (and mrsjuan's mum), I've done 10, once.

Bonsoir · 21/11/2010 17:04

Romanarama - it's the Bat Mitzvah of a daughter of someone who is very well inserted in Belgian business (and who happens to be DP's best friend and is married to one of DP's cousins). I'm definitely an onlooker - would have been good to have someone to talk to Smile.

Bonsoir usually at Christmas when my parents visit. But this year we are flying to Aus to see them instead. Next Christmas probably. We do that and the annual Liberty visit!

Yes cold next week. I do love snow (if it does).

Cripes Vin you poor thing re sandwich!

It has been ages since our last holiday so can't wait. Spoke to my sister yesterday and even though things are tough for her atm we laughed and laughed. That true familiarity, so nice.

Are you with your family this year?

vin - rents are better value here than in London though price per square metre varies a lot - the market is for small apartments so the bigger, the cheaper, basically - until you get to really massive apartments/houses which command international rents. If it's just you and DS you will probably be better off in Paris than London.

I put a little pic of my DD on her sixth birthday last week on my profile.

traceybath · 21/11/2010 18:30

Bonsoir she looks lovely and like she was having a lot of fun!

Thank the lord its nearly dc's bedtime - when you're up at 5.30am the day just takes forever to pass.

FritziGreenEyes · 21/11/2010 18:31

bonsoir Your DD is gorgeous. And those fab glasses and zebra cardi very stylish indeed Smile.

MarshaBrady · 21/11/2010 18:32
