Sorry to hear about your dd dolcee. Hope things improve soon.
Glad to hear your family were better behaved this time ollie.

I wonder what an avid and wise Christmas party would be like. Where would we have it? What would you wear? (Complete fantasy obviously!)

V quick post but Cakey inspired me. Am sat in lovely pub with newspaper & large glass if red. Pil at home with dd. Feel decadent!

Have a large plastic bag ruining my look Hmm with £5.99 camel coat from charity shop. Fits like dream so will re ebay other one.

vinvinoveritas · 11/11/2010 17:02

hurrah monkeysmama! very glad you are having a break and some vino Smile
I frequently ruin my look with plastic bags!! Your coat sounds rather fabulous!

Oh courier came, some gorgeous man in motorbike gear, and he totally promised he'd get the docs there by 5.15!!! what an amaaazing service. Cost £6.50 instead of the £48 I was quoted by another company

vinvinoveritas · 11/11/2010 17:07

Here is a Christmas party dress and a half, to be worn with these shoes and this bag

hmm-this is a fantasty party right?

or perhaps I'd wear the lace dress I found in the charity shop recently. I have nowhere to wear it, it's looking at me all sad and dejected because I'm not stylish enough to know what to do with it!

LetThemEatCake · 11/11/2010 17:44

Animal print-tastic in zara!!!!

hellsbelles · 11/11/2010 18:16

get thee to a goth party vino - I got to wear my lace dress there!

So I finally have a Janice success. The stripey is much much better for me. Very anglomania indeed. Hurrah!

vinvinoveritas · 11/11/2010 18:29

I am absolutely loving Janice's cult status Grin I may have to have a peek at this stripey Janice myself. I have been wearing lots of stripes this week, after berating them earlier I am quite in love with my breton stripes, I can pull them off better if worn under another layer like a blazer or coat or leather jacket whereas me+ stripes uninterrupted by any other fabric= bad

Oh today I wore black jeans, H&M stripey top in black/camel stripes, with camel-toned (?) leather jacket, and (this is a bit much, I know it sounds wrong) leopard scarf. I left the lipstick at home I thought that might be swaying it into bet lynch territory!

I need to find some goths!

traceybath · 11/11/2010 18:34

Hells - where was your lace dress from - it looked gorgeous on you Smile

I am so not up for going out - honestly can't see the point of doing much to hair as will look mad woman when I get there.

FritziGreenEyes · 11/11/2010 19:05

vin I always wear stripes and leopard print scarf. Think it looks fab!

hellsbelles · 11/11/2010 19:10

Tracey - is it the mothers drinks night? You know you'll enjoy once you are there (that's the kind of thing my mother would say to me!)...

I've had the lace dress ages but it was too small...and now it fits (though soon won't at the rate I'm going)! I hate the pics though. I'm really drunk and look soppy and stupid. Very tempted to untag but I understand that is not the done thing!

mrsjuan · 11/11/2010 19:46

Gosh jells, I am constantly detagging. Netiquette goes out the window where unflattering photos are concerned! I think you look good in pics anyway and lace dress is stunning.

Like the sound of all outfits today. I wore indigo skinnies with new oatmeal over sized jumper plus brown leather jacket today. Fine but safe. Think I need to get myself some new scarvEs this weekend to liven things up a bit.

Loving everything's fantasy outfit. Am planning on looking out my imaginary shoes tonight. Grin

Hope you are having a grand time cake - looking forward to seeing the mellonhead.

Currently sitting in dark in dd's room on iPad waiting for her to go to sleep in her cot. Have been doing a soft sort of sleep training and haven't rocked her to sleep for over a week now. Very proud of her and a little bit sad that she is growing up. Although not sad that she been sleeping better at night.

mrsjuan · 11/11/2010 19:52

jells Blush hells.

Have managed to sneak out - hooray!

MarshaBrady · 11/11/2010 19:57

MrsJ I'm right there with you! Ds fell asleep on his back without too much of a noise today! Grin. Really has been sleep training central. Worth it after 11 months of feeding to sleep.

(whistles --> about the book am on a mission, might not need it!)

traceybath · 11/11/2010 19:57

Right am ready and wearing indigo denim pencil skirt, navy long sleeve cowl neck top and statement necklace with black opaques and shoeboots. I think I look a bit Joan Collins/Linda Evans at the height of dynasty Hmm

Will soon be adding a glam coat - ha ha - instead will be putting on my duvet coat as its freezing. DH is meant to be home in 4 mins as he's also out for drinks.

And have realised I have no cash and will not be driving past any cash points and the bar we're going to is impossible to park near.

You can just tell I'm going to be the life and soul can't you Wink

MarshaBrady · 11/11/2010 19:58

Well done with your dd btw!

ApuskiDusky · 11/11/2010 19:58

Sitting in the dark here too...

MarshaBrady · 11/11/2010 20:14

Aw how is baby A apuski?

roary · 11/11/2010 20:47

Hi everyone
Don't know about you but I get my W&A money by mugging badly dressed people Grin.

Seriously, it's not like we're linking to Prada all that often. Although I think I spend a lot more on clothes now. I think I get nicer things though.

Will catch up on links now. Monkeys did you see the coats I linked early?

Yangy I so, so sympathize with you - I feel exactly the same way. My DH is a man of many sterling qualities but he is totally domestically incompetent and even if he were competent he is not around much during the week. And I feel like you - I am no domestic goddess and everything is always in chaos. I can't recall if you have a cleaner but could you afford to pay a bit extra so they could do laundry or something?

mrsjuan · 11/11/2010 20:50

Well done Marsha - sounds like you are doing well without the book Grin - offer still stands if you'd like it in the future.

Hope you're back in the light now Apuski!

Tracey - hope you have a better than expected night.

I am out for meal tomorrow with work colleagues. Going to 'shop my wardrobe' shortly. Needs to be something that will work if we go onto bars afterwards.

Keep meaning to ask - you know that leopard print boden belt that's out of stock now- has anyone seen a similar thing anywhere else? I have been obsessing about it a bit.

roary · 11/11/2010 20:52

Was it Esher looking for a cowl neck top? I have this one and so do a couple of others:
here

roary · 11/11/2010 20:53

MrsJ perhaps unhelpful in the extreme but JCrew has leopard belts.

Zembo · 11/11/2010 21:01

MrsJ I'm in possession of that Boden belt (sorry no help whatsoever) but haven't worn it yet - must do before waistline can no longer take xxs!

Bloss are you a winter? I had my colours done years ago by the colour me beautiful lot (I think) and was 'classified' a deep and cool winter Grin - i think 'your' concept of wow colours etc sounds much more useful.

LTEC same thing going on here with those Lady Jenn's - very annoying but still love the boots. I styled Janice in a similar way to you earlier in the week - burgundy heattech scoop neck top underneath and similar coloured wolfords, but with shoeboots. Hope you're having a good time Smile

Uniqlo have free delivery, no min spend at the moment if anyone's interested - just ordered yet another scoop neck heattech top (black).

Also please can someone fill me in on this gossip Wink

mrsjuan · 11/11/2010 21:06

Well thanks very much zembo and roary for rubbing it in Grin

Let me rephrase: has anyone seen one that is a. available in this country and b. not attached to zembo's super skinny waist??

hf128219 · 11/11/2010 21:08

MrsJ One in Hobbs - woops, just checked sold out. Sorry!!!

Zembo · 11/11/2010 21:10

Grin at hf!!!
