Sorry to hear about your dd dolcee. Hope things improve soon.
Glad to hear your family were better behaved this time ollie.

I wonder what an avid and wise Christmas party would be like. Where would we have it? What would you wear? (Complete fantasy obviously!)

notyummy · 15/11/2010 22:41

ABO - your autumn dress links goes through to a lego Millenium Falcon....!

AllBuggiedOut · 15/11/2010 22:42

Oops, not the Lego obviously. this!

LetThemEatCake · 15/11/2010 22:42

just to clarify - am not at all sniffy about meds, they just don't sort of occur to me as an option, if that makes sense. Just not in my mindset, nor dh's. 'Cos of upbringing.

MarshaBrady · 15/11/2010 22:42

Yangy I think they would look better fitted. Be great if you could get the next size down.

I am not adverse to all things medical (just wasn't sure what people did), Esher sorry to hear about your dd.

GeorginaWorsley · 15/11/2010 22:42

I think they size v big. As evinced by zembo in 00 while pregnant- now that is Shock!!
...(Envy)!! Smile

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:44

Dolcee Kind of got used to the mattress on the floor!! So lazy I know but it weighs a ton. When we moved in here we had all sorts of delays and the removal men were still here at 10pm, we were all very tired, dd was getting baptised the next day - bla bla bla - and I said 'Just leave it there, we'll sort it out'

Cue 2 years in and it's still sitting in that very place!

GeorginaWorsley · 15/11/2010 22:51

Thanks yangy

roary · 15/11/2010 22:56

abo you could try it. After all marine is pretty much navy.....

GeorginaWorsley · 15/11/2010 23:01

Am loving this, but not the price

anyone seen any cheaper versions?

DTI10 · 15/11/2010 23:02

roma I am often on that 5.30am Eurostar trying to get some sleep amongst all the noisy Crackberries going off. Why can't people put them on silent mode?

Stripey Janice received very well by DH and friends. Although 91 year old granny in law said it made my non existent chest even more so! Thanks!

I really like it and it is very flattering from the front in my humble view. I wore a slip underneath as it clung to my J Lo derriere a bit but after three positive compliments I decided it will be worn again.

I am wondering about the Reiss dress now. Having second thoughts due to it being very clingy on hips but that's the style.

Where does everyone find such good charity shop items? There are quite a few near us but full of tat and I don't have the time to have a good rummage around.

I have been keeping a list of all the items I have bought and returned this year - top of the list is shoes? I have too many. I have a shoe obsession!

carciofi did you purchase the Anya?

GeorginaWorsley · 15/11/2010 23:07

DT my charity shop find was a one off!

Round here it is all ex Asda,Dorothy Perkins etc, even though it is affluent Cheshire Smile

I was standing near the window of said shop during the Remembrance service, spotted itlurking inside and swooped in today1Blush Very Avid and Wise !Grin

VerityBrulee · 15/11/2010 23:08

Vin you are so gorgeous Smile As are your dc - good genes! Love that red jacket, red is a great colour for winter, instant cheer. Your link to the sart reminded me of the most adorable picture, for some reason I can't link but the photo is from tues 9th november, sooo cute.

Bunny thanks Smile I have NAP taste on a Zara budget, so need to be creative! I am unfeasibly excited about your babies, much more so than for my SIL who is due next week, but then she and I have, ahem, history! Just the thought of your 3 liitle girls on christmas morning makes me feel all warm and fuzzy

LTEC Could you Dukan dairy free do you think? Sounds like great results, not that you needed to lose anything, but I know where you're coming from.

Roary I feel your pain re:drudgery, it's just never ending, what I wouldn't do to have a full-time housekeeper!

Fritzi that coat is divine, put it on your christmas list.

Esher that's awful about your dd's hearing. I'm very blase about calpol with my older two, but dd will not under any circs take medicine. Luckily she is incredibly healthy, but this time last year the dc all had swine flu and her temp was so high, we had to give her paracetemol supppositries. What a fantastic invention!

Carciofi hope you're feeling a bit better these days, great that you are happy with the hospital. I love the Anya, have a few of hers and love them.

Zembo you sound amazing, hope the tirdeness was just a blip.

NY and HF I don't know how you do it, I really don't. Hope the week goes smoothly for you both.

Bloss a blog would be fantastic, but only if you promise not to abandon us!

Roman I have the perfect job for you, you would be so much more capable and better qualified than the present crowd, but it's a bit of a poison chalice - come and run Ireland for us would you? Please

I have been thinking of this Paul and Joe pea coat I saw in Paris, beautiful cut, and the most exquisite buttons, the kind of jacket you'd wear forever.

Marsha I'm intrigued by what you do! You always sound happy and laid-back, I'm v Envy. In moments of stress I am inclined to think, What Would Marsha Do? Smile and blow kisses probably Grin

LetThemEatCake · 15/11/2010 23:09

GW it sounds fabulous!

GeorginaWorsley · 15/11/2010 23:12

Thanks,LTEC

May wear with black skinnies and ankle boots.

Cannot decide whether it looks vintage-y or moth eaten!

VerityBrulee · 15/11/2010 23:14

DT I have never found anything good in a charity shop, must try harder. Although inspired by Grazia article on fake fur coats I dug out one I got in a second hand vintage shop years ago, and it is toasty warm and rather glam I think.

ABO re your coat, I think of you every time I go into Avoca Smile

MarshaBrady · 15/11/2010 23:17

Aw VerityB that's a really lovely compliment thank you! Smile. I am very happy these days (oh touch wood, always scary to say it out loud). After some stresses years ago things feel fabulous.

I think it with you too, re Paris and design - doing something you love. Will pm you.

DTI10 · 15/11/2010 23:27

Georgina and VerityB Would you post a picture of the leopard coats please?

I am looking for one but not bulky, definitely not seen anything locally. Think all the ladies and gents who run our local charity shops have the pick of the best first!
