Sorry to hear about your dd dolcee. Hope things improve soon.
Glad to hear your family were better behaved this time ollie.

I wonder what an avid and wise Christmas party would be like. Where would we have it? What would you wear? (Complete fantasy obviously!)

Well, just discovered the mobile mumsnet site. Life changing!!

Am on iPhone now feeding ds (7 months, marsha). He is getting all 4 top teeth simultaneously. Didn't believe in teething with dd but she only got one tooth at a time!

MarshaBrady · 15/11/2010 22:15

ds sorry! Yes my ds is asleep with dh. Boo don't like not having time together in the evening.

Wow your outfit is very chic Roma! Good luck tomorrow.

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:18

Library sounds heaven Cake....The uncles sound pretty fab too.

Liking those straight cords...a good alternative to skinnies I think

Yes, pm me Marsha! I'd love to know....

Rpma...bed sounds deliciously comfortable....

LetThemEatCake · 15/11/2010 22:19

sorry you're feeling flat roary. I think this time of year is hard too. Cold, cooped up, constant visual reminders of all the drudge ... ugh.

bloss 6lb down so far, mostly I think from top of legs at back, you know, where they meet your bum? Jeans feel different. (Fritzi I hope you don't mind but I have traded your jeans as my friend had a pair that she'd bought hoping to fit in, but mine fit her better and vice versa! Hope that's okay?)

Also gap btwn thighs is much wider and tummy is concave first thing in morning, concave-to-flat for rest of day.

Sorry MrsJ didn't mean to be sneaky just was anxious about announcing and failing or getting any finger-wagging. Am eating fish, eggs, cottage cheese, yoghurt, occasional tofu. And now veg on alternate days, too.

Have not ditched alcohol, life's too short Grin

loobylu3 · 15/11/2010 22:24

Evening all!

zembo- I can't believe that you can wear 00 jeans or fit into skinnies at all, especially with no.3! You must have amazing abdominal muscles and be so petite!
I also bought that dress the other day but slightly unsure whether to keep it or not- love the colour, not convinced about the style. I think it could be perfect for accomodating a bump though (not mine I hasten to add)!

roma- I am so impressed by your linguistic skills. Mandarin is such a challenging language to learn but a v useful one I think.
My parents met at SOAS many moons ago and my father had been at Oxbridge prior to that!
Maybe you could use the fact that you are currently so unhappy at work as a springboard to try something totally new?

vino- am I allowed to see your pics too?

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:27

Cake...yes it works doesn't it! Fab...think its a very sensible programme. I found that limbs were more toned too...I suppose carting a baby around helps ! When I can catch her, that is

Are you not tempted by the Gap coated skinnies?

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:27

God I would love to hear you speak Mandarin Roma....very impressed!

LetThemEatCake · 15/11/2010 22:29

god sorry dolce forgot that you;d done it too, I think of you as always having been teeny!

I like the gap coated skinnies but I already have rats and am contemplating leatherlook leggings so think would be un peu de trop, really...?

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:31

We have a Vi-Spring mattress...can vouch for comfiness...although our is on an antique metal base...bed so high it's like The Princess and the Pea...

eshermummy · 15/11/2010 22:31

DD1 has consumed so much medecine that i would say her blood must be around 10% pure calpol Grin
Am very relaxed about it - but dd1 spends the entire winter suffering with ENT problems and had her first ENT op when she was 6 months so it is what we are used to. Am always a bit Hmm about the threads of MN when people get all smug judgey about the use of antibiotics too. DD1 takes a constant background prophylactic dose of antbiotics throughout the winter . Given that most of her hearing loss occurred as a result of undiagnosed and untreated ear infections between the ages of 10-18 months, I actually wish she'd had more Sad
We are also big fans of Medised in this household Biscuit

LetThemEatCake · 15/11/2010 22:32

ABO - literary gifts aplenty

vinvinoveritas · 15/11/2010 22:32

roary I put a space in your name for some reason! sorry

cake very naughty at secret dukaning Grin but wow at the dedication. I am pleased to see you eat fish! I was wondering what you ate Grin (no finger wagging!! promise, just think you are already a littley! go easy)

I eat SO MUCH sugar- I have been off dairy for a few months now though and think that I just feel a lot better. I occasionally slip up with chocolate or cheese but on the whole am much better, and just cutting out milky lattes/cappuccinos/etc made an instant difference.

marsha hope babybrady gets better soon

Roman your outfit sounds incredibly chic

I am currently lusting after this jacket

LTEC can you remind me of your blog address please?
I love reading it and can't find the link!

Have got a stripy Janice and I am truly surprised by how flattering it is!
Would like the navy one but it seems to have a higher neckline and I am an hourglass shape so like a lower cut neckline,IFYSWIM

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:35

Oh no worries...just wanted to corroborate your findings! It's amazing...

Yeah, forgot about the Rats! Peut-etre un peu de trop, oui!

H and M had leather look legging 'jeans' that were great but for long legged gals like you!

vinvinoveritas · 15/11/2010 22:35

esher sorry about DD, people shouldn't judge antibiotics are incredible lifesavers, and if there's a need and a means...

loobylu I shall add you to the priveleged few Grin I have some warped paranoia that a colleague or relative will be a secret MNer didn't want to out myself to all

AllBuggiedOut · 15/11/2010 22:36

Thanks for the gift suggestions - off to browse that site now LTEC.

While I'm away, would somebody (roary, bloss?) please give me a good hard slap and tell me that this is not an "autumn dress" please? I have fallen in love with it, even though I suspect the 12 would be too big. Am clearly losing the plot...

NotanOtter · 15/11/2010 22:37

swoon

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:38

So Gap sizing then....what is a UK 8 equivalent...0?

LetThemEatCake · 15/11/2010 22:38

aw, thanks GW. Blush

It's here

yangy not sure if you saw my post the other day but found great nude patent heeled courts for a tenner in Sainsbury's ED Grin look great with the Oasis lace dress

LTEC Well done! Must shake off the dust from my Dukan book - worked a treat before summer hols, incredible.

Esher You make me laugh! MN heresy indeed!

I am neither here nor there with Caplol. Have it in the house and if dd seems to need it for temp she will have some.

Dolcee We have an old brass bedstead too - but no Princess and the Pea effect at the moment as the frame is still lying on its side since we moved in here - 2 years ago!!! Blush

notyummy · 15/11/2010 22:39

I know what you mean Esher. We were told not to treat DD with ABs back in Feb because what she had was virus (suspected swine flu.) Fair enough - I know they don't want to give them out all the time as it helps develop resistant strains - however what she had was a bacterial chest infection (pneumonia) that got worse and worse. It ended up with a blue light trip in an ambulance and the best part of a week's stay in hospital. The consultant told us that before the advent of ABs she would almost certainly be one of the many, many children who died before the age of 5.

(And she is generally a robust, healthy little thing with no underlying health condition. No athsma/allergies. Scary stuff.)

DolceeBanana · 15/11/2010 22:40

Notanotter...now that is my kind of dress!
