Sorry - just realised I'd put it on private for a bit - back on now.

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 13:08

Oh, I really enjoy coming home from work, grab a cup of tea and spend half an hour reading all your posts before I have to run again and pick up DD. Lovely links too but I have forgotten who linked what.

Just wanted to say that Nudie "sale" was a big joke really. There were 4 pairs of bootlegs on offer and that was it. Will order regular price pair now.

I love the flurry of fashion fairies with their mission to secure cake's sequin jacket and stripey Janice from P8.

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 13:09

Can anyone see mrsjuan in Janice?

I agree with Everything. It certainly doesn't look horrible MrsJ, but I would say it looks a bit big on you - appreciate you would be wearing with heels etc, but think that the sizing overall is out. You look slightly pear shaped like me (feel free to kick me if I am miles out) and it looks like your waist is missing there, when I am sure it should be a highlight!

notyummy · 08/11/2010 13:19

PS MrsJ - are they Ikea chest of drawers? They spookily similar to ones we have!!

[nosy] emoticon....

MarshaBrady · 08/11/2010 13:19

Ah I see it!

Yes I think you need a smaller size Smile

Thanks everyone - do you think it's worth trying a smaller size or leave Janice to her other fans? Agree on second viewing of pictures it does look big.

NY - you are right on 2 accounts - yes pear shaped (but waist isn't particularly small - bum & legs are just bigger) and yes ikea drawers Grin

MarshaBrady · 08/11/2010 13:26

I think you look petite / and with a nice shape and would look really good in something skimming and fitted.

What do you think..

Apols in advance for what will be cakecentric post... Am in hell at softplay with the smell of chicken nuggets wafting around.

Success on the P8 front- dress and jacket on hold at near-ish store until tomorrow, will collect with bub while p&c at nursery. Thanks for all the offers of help, you are all fashion fairies!!

Isabella Oliver peg legs arr this morning and have been sent straight back. Lovely and comfy but I dont partic need them, face to face work stuff is very occasional and prefer dresses anyway. Plus, as I suspected, they looked great when I stood like the model, hands in pockets, but a bit trackie-ish otherwise.

mm I have that gap dress in grey, wearing it now in fact. yangy it is quite fitted and sexy after a wash and then settles down into a cosier style, yes quite shapeless but plenty of leg on show to compensate. Grin Wearing with belstaffs and red jaeger coat as per recent blog (which I will update soon, havevthings to show and tell!!) dt boots, I have 41 which felt a bit tight first few wears but being such gorgeous leather have softened up beautifully and now super-comfy

Roma good to see you.

Um what else. Christmas outfit, no idea, too soon to think about it. Birthday outfit on the other hand woo hoo, can't wait!!

looby thanks for lovely compliment and thanks again for discovering stripey Janice

I don't know Marsha - I don't feel comfortable in fitted things as a rule because I'm not skinny - I know I'm not fat as such but feel quite exposed in things that show the actual shape I am if that makes sense.

hellsbelles · 08/11/2010 13:41

mrsjuan - I can't find the pic!

Vino you did make me laugh with your dress down Friday horror.

Reine - hello...nice to have you back - I can't see Halloween pic (starts to get a bit paranoid that I can never see any pics!)

ABO - I ended up looking tarty rather than goth Hmm...I thought I'd put on tons of make up but obviously not enough. Love the shorts. From the pic they look very short from behind...is that the case or is it just that the model is very tall?

Roary - I much prefer the second lovely dress

Tracey - I was open mouthed at your MIL's comment...any news on the offer? Let's hope mystic HF is right.

NY - three cheers for DH - what a lovely surprise.

Yangy - well done DD.

Marsha- the outfit sounds really good. I had thought VW pink would be summer only but you've inspired me.

Everything - so sorry to hear things are still difficult. On a trivial note - I love the leather dress.

Cake - I love your Pheonix dress...I always imagine you look wonderful in it. Shorts could potentially be good..but so hard to tell from the pic. you know what I'll say about the dress/jacket. As I'm never knowingly under-avid.

Party was great fun. It was slightly disconcerting to discover that my little brother with goth make up and a black wig was the spitting image of me. Really spookily similar. I got very drunk - probably due to nerve and too much Dukaning...and tottered around on my Edelmans bumping into everyone and probably acting a complete fool. Felt very sorry for myself on Sunday.

We are trapped in by the horrid rain. Spent the morning persuading DD that sorting out paper work with mummy is 'super fun' - not sure she is entirely convinced.

lol at your brother in a wig Hells. (sure he didn't though, although my brother and sister look very alike and are both still good looking.. sorry a bit of a ramble...)

But yes I get that with the Dukan. I am fine that kerplomb! it hits me. I saw one male friend at school the next day and all he did was laugh Blush. Didn't do that on Saturday, drove. But I know what you mean! Grin

MrsJuan I think something with form but structure-y or thickish material could be good. Let me see....
(warning I don't have a very good hit rate on here for suggestions but will give it a go Grin)

MarshaBrady · 08/11/2010 13:53

I adore this See by Chloe and on sale too!

I admit I was looking for something else but it is cute.

But small sizes sold out (sorry can't remember what IT translates to).

Not dressy enough perhaps, but it's cute.

Do you do colours?

Or are you like me and wing it at every corner....

MarshaBrady · 08/11/2010 13:53

gah said that twice, (you might not find it you know... cute Grin)

traceybath · 08/11/2010 13:55

I keep meaning to say how much I loved your announcement to your DH Zembo - has he processed the news over the weekend?

Am still asking estate agents lots of questions before even making very low offer Smile

MrsJ - yes the janice is also a little bit long on you I think but that could just be my mutton tendencies.

I made a Nigella cake yesterday - her vanilla one from the christmas book in a fancy tin - was really delicious.

MarshaBrady · 08/11/2010 13:57

I love the dots on this MJ.

I want these I think.

mrsjuan · 08/11/2010 14:01

Marsha - see is cute Wink but not me - not keen on neckline or colour.

Love the mj one but it says that the model is 5'11" so it would probably come down to near my ankles Grin (bit too exxy too)

AllBuggiedOut · 08/11/2010 14:04

MrsJuan I agree that the Janice looks too big; try a size down I reckon.

Lol at hells's tarty-goth outfit! The shorts aren't too short, no. Think they must be the same ones you have bought looby Smile. So far I've only worn mine on a day it was warm enough to venture out with jumper and big wooly scarf. And sadly I'm not the owner of the burnt orange dress, merely an admirer Wink.

Bloss yes, I'm autumn. Roary and anyone else wanting a brown leopard scarf, there's no link but I bought the most fabulous one in Zara. Just gorgeous rich with camel, orangy brown and v dark brown (or poss even black).

And again bloss when you sold your L&L scarf, did you put a reserve or starting price on it? Am considering selling my blue python one but not unless I get a decent price

Plum that necklace is fab.
