Am in 2 minds tbh. Love the way they look on Asos and think you have the height and figure (legs!) to pull them off. Will you wear them with tights?

Am less impressed with the rear view, however. Don't know why - model obviously has ridiculously slender and enviable arse, so nothing to do with that. Front - stylish. Rear..verging on the slightly dodgy. May be the vertiginous boots giving her a wiff of the 'Pretty Woman'....?

However, overall I would definitely say yes to having them to try and trying with a number of options to see how you feel. Could get away with for daytime wear with the kind of 'workmans' style boots I have seen lots of people wearring around Nottingham perhaps - or too studenty??

Very hard to be certain with the shorts, LTEC, but they look a bit odd to me; maybe because they're shiny new and rather "stiff" in the photo. You know how some leather boots don't fit well enough round the calves and look more like wellies, the shorts make me think of that for some reason ! Fingers crossed they're better IRL though. Did you go for the ASOS pre-pay delivery thing you were asking about? I do love it when stuff comes next day.

On the subject of shorts, am wondering if I might be brave enough to wear mine to toddler group tomorrow morning

Roary I'm not overly struck on the LKB dress. Am sure you could carry off something a bit "cooler" than that one. Remind us of your wow colours and maybe we can find the perfect dress?!

pickledsibling, I love charcoal, especially with my boden red and navy Breton. In fact I like the way my charcoal bf cardigan goes over most of my stripey tops, especially those with a white background (jigsaw white and grey a favourite). I like it with indigo denim (so navy again), and sapphire, very hard to find though. It is my new black!

I might have to have a look at Phase 8 later. I've never even considered looking there before.

I have another large haul of returns. The Wallis black maxi dress (can't find it to link to) wasn't nice and the necklace I decided to keep but broke ten minutes later so is also being returned.

Asos - Grey Full Circle harems going back. I have three other grey pairs and don't want to wear a variation on the same theme every day. Still have the black ones. This dress was one of the most unflattering things I have ever tried on. Whilst looking for links I saw this coat which isn't for me but I thought someone might like.

This Reiss scarf was very thin and crap quality for the money. These black boots are really nice but very high and not for my life. I ordered a few other jumpers too which are all going back.

I went rl shopping on Thursday and got this striped jumper which feels more luxe than the price tag. Dithered over these skinnies but think I will go back and get them even though I do have similar. They were a very good fit and are useful non?

I got this dress in Gap which I think a few others have too. This looks far nicer on and is a really good shape for balancing out tight jeans.

The one keeper that I have worn three times already is this from Warehouse. I also succumbed to this necklace in Wallis which I thought was a bit alla WIT but have tried with lots of things and have no idea how to wear.

I have found the Belstaff Trialmaster boot in Brown, can?t link (at work) in a size 41 on Matches.

I really would like the Black but can?t find them and sold out in other places. Would I be wise to purchase the Brown? The Brown looks a bit wishy washy. LTEC ? do they come up big?

Sorry for sounding so boot desperate but size 41/42 is always so difficult to find.
