Roary - I would have been fuming!! I love Aurelia and have been badgering suggesting it to DH for both last pregnancy and this. He isn't keen but will keep at it. Really really want Leonora, though esp due to Eleanor of Aquitaine association (she is one of my great female role models).

bunnymother · 07/11/2010 21:03

Reine - oh yes, how sophisticated and mature am I?! Grin

roary · 07/11/2010 21:06

Bunny, love Leonora but my nephew is Leo so we had to strike it off our list. And I love Eleanor because of reading this book over and over again as a kid.

Oh everything wish I could think of something to cheer you up Sad. Loved the outfit you had on for shopping trip yesterday. You sound so lovely, compassionate and not to forget stylish and it is sad to hear of your sorrows with DH.

I had a great time browsing notonthehighstreet yesterday and getting ideas for presents.

Think I might get this bag for MIL. She is very much into arts and think she would love it.

I would also love this for DD's room.

Sorry I'm digressing from S&B but can't link to anything I bought from Cos yesterday. Waiting impatiently for ollie with report and links of London trip!

LetThemEatCake · 07/11/2010 21:43

DT love your LK buys. Fabulous.

glad you had a good bonfire night georgina

Hope party was good hells!
vino I laughed but also nearly cried (with pity) to hear of dress down fridays! How awful!! hideous. You keep flying tat A&W flag my dear. We are counting on you! Well done on the card. Must have been a hard one to write. You are very brave and beautiful.

bloss not surprised you felt drained. Hope the food coma subsided today. You so need to do somethinkg with your falir and passion for colours. And your domestic skills! Language skills. Iron will (no sugar etc} - world's your oyster

WWWY I think the Biba is totally fabulous. Buy buy.

Gucci for children - so wrong!!

bunny - Emmeline is a lovely name. Lots of lovely names being suggested here (except Flora ... noooooo!!! sorry to anyone who loves it) I do love Matilda, perhaps more so bc of Waltzing .. when I was pg with ds1 it was on list as a middle name (before we found out he was a boy!!)

Looby i have indeed tried the striped Janice .. of which more anon ...

great jumper Plum, love the covert online mission

sorry things are no better eie. He's a fool if he doesn't know what he's allowing to slip away. Bright, beautiful, zest for life. Silly man.

waves to thirstymerc

lovely to have you back reine What an adorable dd. Gorgeous!

Thank you lovely Zembo Smile

how was Harrods, carciofi?

lovely sweater pickled great colours - what colour do you have?

Fritzi shame about the coast dress but hurrah for Janice

tracey you are amazing. I would be pooped.and boo hiss to your mil - what a thing to say!! (although I would be hoping they meant it and would never darken my doorstep agian) Fingers x'd for house - you never know.

roary - another vote for dress2

yes bloss they are the KG shoes I bought over the phone, tried in RL and got refunded on as too high Next week they will feature the red M&S ones!! Grin

okay, so in my news .. party was great, felt very happy in my dress, lots of food and booze and everyone had a good time and were gone by 9ish (kids) Perfect. Dh was watching MOTD and I had one eye on it whilst going though stack of catalogues. Saw leather shorts. Realised, perhaps tipsily that I need leather shorts. realised ASOS code still valid for another 24 hours. Bought these which may prove to be the answer to my hot pink ,fushcia and magenta wearing woes - what do you think??

Today had a child-free half hour and dropped by Phase 8 to try on stripey Janice. Yes yes yes she is a winner. Was wearing belstaffs and black opaques and it was grand. But P8 have current promo - buy dress, get cover-up/ cardi half price. So here's my chance to buy the sequin jacket here yes? But no .. they only have 12. 14 & 16 in stock. So I say, no worried, will buy online - but online offer is only for £25 off!!!

My question is - should I buy it with Janice or not bother? It's a diff of £25, not the end of the world .. but still, annoyed to pay £64 when I could be paying £45 ... what do you reckon??

phew, sorry for epic post, hope I got everyone in there!!

Oh everything I hope you feel a bit chirpier tomorrow.

LTEC Just get the dress. And the jacket!

Flora is my mother's name!!

Tracey I think you are going to get the house - just have a feeling. MIL's comment - wow! How silly.

blossoming · 07/11/2010 21:57

reine, you know I'm not so sure about oatmeal. There may be better colours!

I am so annoyed with Orange. They have put a parental control onbralk sites like this one. So I've been excluded all evening. Will phone them tomorrow.

roary, that dress is not for autumns, and you know it!!

fritzi, I'm with you on holding out for ollie's report.

Hi ltec, I hope I'm still around later.

I'm watching The Ugly Truth. I love Kathryn Heigl.

bunnymother · 07/11/2010 22:01

Cake - can't you buy stripy Janice and sequin jacket in wrong size then exchange at another store that has correct size? Or get them to order in correct size and exchange once it arrives?

blossoming · 07/11/2010 22:04

ltec, thanks for kind words. Love the jacket. Buy! Buy!

Glad last night was good.

blossoming · 07/11/2010 22:06

You're so clever bunny

LetThemEatCake · 07/11/2010 22:08

bloss why not be a freelance wardrobe consultant? Then you could combine colours knowledge with your stylish ways (plus lots of vicarious avidness)

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 07/11/2010 22:10

good idea bunny but store won't order in and there are only a handful of 8s left in stores, none of which are easy for me to get to ...

sorry hf and your mum Blush

Evening / night everyone,

Oh everything - so sorry that you're feeling a low - I had been wondering if things might have been on the up with DH - echo what cake says about him being a fool to let you slip away.

Tracey - so excited for you re: house - good luck with offer. I'm a bit shattered from guests too - BIL came up to join my sister here on Fri & although we had great weekend I have realised that we've had guests staying every weekend for the last 7 weeks - feel a bit like we're running a hotel sometimes. Shock at your MIL's comment though.

Feel so behind on Janice love in - I sill haven't picked her up - think when I get her tomorrow I'l have to put some temporary pictures up to get some honest feedback.

bunny good luck with the continuing name hunt - love Emmeline. Non top 200 is a bug ask!

mrsjuan · 07/11/2010 22:19

big ask obviously

roary · 07/11/2010 22:20

Bloss I know, I KNOW. But I am not convinced that I am your conventional autumn (you've seen my pic!).

But in keeping with my wow colours, there this

roary · 07/11/2010 22:20

Also, I am a blue autumn :)

notyummy · 07/11/2010 22:22

Hmm. Have racked brains but no helpful ideas for size/ price dilemma LTEC. Sorry, am no help at all Blush

LetThemEatCake · 07/11/2010 22:23

okay then NY what do you say to the shorts??

mutton or okay? you;ve met me!!

OP posts:
roary · 07/11/2010 22:24

I like the shorts.

bunnymother · 07/11/2010 22:25

Cake - I have a P8 2 mins away so how about I have a lookand if they have it in size 8, get them to hold it, you post jacket to me, I exchange then post back? Too much faff? You will still be ahead! Will look anyway to see if they have it.

pickledsiblings · 07/11/2010 22:27

What would you wear that sequin jacket with LTEC?

I do however love the leather shorts.

I have the charcoal in the -acrylic- cashmilon M&S Grin to go with the 100 other charcoal items in my wardrobe. Am slightly worried that grey may not be my colour. Bloss?

bunnymother · 07/11/2010 22:28

Or... If they have it, I ask if they will transfer to your store if I buy it and then you exchange and transfer me the cost? Doesn't sound like 100% likely to work, but will see what I can do.

bunnymother · 07/11/2010 22:29

Bloss - clever or tighter than 2 coats of paint? I will let you decide Grin.

pickledsiblings · 07/11/2010 22:29

I forgot the double dash. I don't post enough, do I?
