Would you pay £100 for a cardigan- this one?

Pure Collection cashmere. it's boyfriend length, with 2 front pockets, and a V neck.

I am not sure about the style- will it date?

I would buy the V neck cardi but I really feel the cold and love the idea of a cardi that really covers my bum.

Have a 25% discount voucher so would be £100.

Thanks Millie.
I am a size 8-10 so I hope my body shape is the right one.
TBH I could see myself wearing it in my 60s- and that's not that too far off Sad

Pav- why is it obscene?

Yes, not regularly but for a cardie I really loved I would. I am a big cardigan fan and would wear it loads. Also I have realised that knitwear is something that generally you get what you pay for and something expensive and quality will last a lot longer.

well i want one now
I like the camel one

Not for that cardigan, I wouldn't. Hate 'boyfriend' style and that cardie harks back to the likes of Curiosity Killed The Cat (hey, howya doing...sorry you couldn't get through...)

I am of the opinion that buying cheap is a false economy. But I also have a shandy budget to mismatch my champagne tastes. So I thank God for ebay.

Hands up - I have it in the 'cappuccino' (beige) colour Blush. It is gorgeous. I bought it because I have bought from Pure in the past and the quality is the best cashmere I've found. Lasts years. And I had a 20% off.

That said, I am terrified of evil moths getting it and keep it in a John Lewis moth repelling plastic bag.

Looks superb with trousers - tbh a bit long with skirts (I tend to wear just above knee skirts so the balance is out, iykwim). I know I will wear it for years (if I can keep moths away), it is so classic and fantastically soft.

Oh and meant to say it comes up quite big - I looked like a waif in my normal size 10, and sent it back in disappointment. Decided to give the 8 a go after reading reviews on their website, and I'm glad I did.

purplepeony · 17/10/2010 22:47

oh- exciting! I like that colour too I have ordered in an 8 as thought it looked big fitting.
I would have ordered the merino blend one which is cheaper but i really wanted grey to wear over Ts and layer etc.

My cardi isn't on the site anymore - it was a very posh party though - wore it to a Buckingham Palae garden party!
