katy they look nice. I bought these the other day in black

I like them but may take them back as I seem to have too many boots!!

The Bath Spa sounds lovely. You will deserve a treat after your half-marathon!

DH may do the Paris marathon in April - I am thinking shopping opportunities Grin

Hi Katy ... those are nice...I actually bought these ... cuties ... really comfy too but funkier I think...anyway, suits dresses, skirts trews in a low key way....

Oh, knackered and off to shower and slather on the Roc before bed...catch you later girls...

DolceeBanana · 12/10/2010 21:30

In black of course....

notyummy · 12/10/2010 21:52

Just rushing in to say....

HF - THank you! Have booked here for a weekend! Have been before and really liked it, but that was always midweek at the cheap rates, and we though we were condemned to their most expensive weekend/school holiday rates...until I realised it was on the 2 4 1 offer!

Everything - Great bargains!

LTEC and Katy...plus any other ladies who run. ALDI are doing their twice yearly running gear from this Thursday - it will probably go fast because the running magazines always recommend to readers. Don't turn your nose up! I used to have the office next door to one of their Buying Directors and know where the stuff is sourced from. It is good kit...and cheap as chips. Grin

Roma - Glad you are feeling better re work.

Louby - Thanks for the compliment. I felt v dowdy yesterday having worn a boring/easy and unflattering outfit. Thought it was time to up my game.

Also, ladies can I recommend these in the black. Very thick, but also magically make your legs look slimmer...was complimented on them today!

Rufus, hopefully! We plan to move back within 3-4 years.

Mrs Juan, DD will be 3 in April so can start nursery school next Sept. She was going to start part-time in Jan but we are moving areas.

Dolcee, I like the boots. Let me know if the cream works. I need something.

EIE, thank you! Great Outnet shopping.

Blossoming, can you link to your zebra dress please? I cheated and bought DD's birthday cake.

Reine, sorry, this is off topic but did you go to Queen Charlotte and were you happy with it?

I am itching to buy something!

blossoming · 12/10/2010 22:02

I can't link right now carciofi as I've gone to bed I'm so cold. Must be coming down with something. But I did link to it yesterday if you want to scroll back.
Night all.

carciofi · 12/10/2010 22:04

Have read back a bit more.

Romanarama, your outfit sounds fab. I miss dressing up for work. My Theory suits are gathering dust now.

Looby, I like London too but I would love to live by the sea again.

LTEC, your writing is indeed perfect.

Mrs Juan, Tara Jarmon is a lovely label. I am sure the coat is lovely.

OK, I am off to bed before I lose the run of myself and buy something. I want the My-Wardrobe pink dress!!!

carciofi · 12/10/2010 22:09

Can't find it, but it sounds very cool. Hope you feel better.

carciofi · 12/10/2010 22:10

Bloss, found it, great dress.

LetThemEatCake · 12/10/2010 22:17

carciofi are you moving closer to where I live???!!

Fritzi that is such a shame that you can't get Jamie on C4 online where you are! the book is available, if that is any help - I will see if I can nab you a copy and send it over. Will check Max MAra for coats. Like the one ABO linked to as well. I just have mental block with coats - hate cold weather, so try to will it out of existence by refusing to dress appropriately. Also coats make me feel like a city person which is the antithesis of my inner self Grin

meet up ladies after 3 weekends of sole parenting, I half though that I wuld want o throw the children at dh and come a-lunchin'. However, waht I really want is time with my family. Will try to meet you after lunch; Choo and eie I have your numbers so if I text/ call you and see where you are, is that okay?

Katy yes, I have some winter events lined up to keep me going but tbh, I don't lack motivation: fear of lard and need of space is enough!!

another thumbs up for shorts and tights from me, have been wearing a lot with short flat studded bikerish boots. Dolce so sorry still no joy on that front - and LOK re dc names - okay so Miss P gets called the direct Italian translation of her name, Master C gets his name but with a long 'a' and a short o on the end, Baby L gets the direct translation. Capisce?? Grin Dh gets abbreviated version of name with o tacked on end.

Lovely dress MrsJ!!

hells no I have so many belts, have not searched for the one styled with the See trousres .. get in quick though as the 15% discount ends at end of month, no dithering - asosmusic for 15% off. Just get them!! can always send them back.

reine I do love that Zara coat but no buttons + 3 under 4

LetThemEatCake · 12/10/2010 22:20

god so many typos Confused

carciofi · 12/10/2010 22:29

LTEC, we are moving to Barnes. So not too far.

I have wanted a Barbour International for aaaages. So although it will only probably fit me for a few more months, it is worth buying now with the ASOS discount, yes??? (hopeful Smile)

reallygrumpy

cake how-to vids are here

and cake books are here, here and here

LetThemEatCake · 12/10/2010 22:56

yeah, go on carciofi. You only need it to zip up for another few months. It'll be summer again soon. Smile

Zembo · 13/10/2010 06:13

Carciofi hope you're feeling well. In your position I'd be looking at buying loads of accessories, scarves, shoes, bags etc...will have a think Smile

EIE good work on outnet order - really like the red jumper, think it'll look great on you.

blossoming · 13/10/2010 06:28

carciofi, I remember that stage so well! All of a sudden your clothes shopping stops! Too soon for maternity, too late for normal! Go for the Barbour. One of the local mums has an international, and I really like it. Looks good left open. After yesterday's try on marathon I've decided the cameron is quite wintry after all!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/10/2010 07:56

Morning all! Sunny but really chilly here so I said goodbye to my ballet flats and put on some black Falke ribbed tights to wear with my new black Zara skirt, breton top and skinny belt. Also planning to wear black brogues for the first time. Think I will be part of team brogue and give the lace a miss this season Smile. DD says "Mummy you look beautiful?. Ahh, what more can you wish for!

Forgot to say: Well done on the praise for your job cake. Such a great feeling to get positive feedback for the work you've done. Always gives me a big boost (plus getting compliments for outfits/looks of course).

Great haul from the Outnet everything. Had put a basket together including some AV stuff but decided I have enough for the moment so didn't go through with checkout.

Ollie Your house must smell divine with all the cake baking going on. What recipe do you use for scones? Nigella?

carciofi Get that coat and second what Zembo says about getting accessories. Will make you feel less deprived of fashion. And congratulations on finding a new place. Is it far from where you live now?

mrsjuan There is a small boutique where I live who has Tara Jarmon clothes. Beautiful coats and dresses. Very elegant and timeless I think.

Where is libra?

carciofi · 13/10/2010 11:13

Fritzi, lovely skirt, your outfit sounds great. That is a lovely compliment. We are not moving far so can still pop back easily and see friends. I really like the area we are moving to, I have been thinking about it for a while and DH can't say no at the moment!

Zembo, you are right, accessories are probably a better investment. I don't need anything really, I am just being greedy. Blush DH said he will buy me a bag for Christmas, I like the [[http://www.mulberry.com/?gclid=cmov-6dnz6qcfd342aodt1uxew/#/storefront/c5484/5245/category/
Mulberry Leah messenger]].

I had a few nice maternity clothes left, I asked my friend about them and she gave them away. In fairness, I probably told her I would never ever ever ever need them again!

Romanarama · 13/10/2010 11:35

Barnes is lovely Carciofi. Kew is my London home, and my brothers and both had lots of school friends around Barnes so were often there. Very nice.

rufus101 · 13/10/2010 12:02

Bags and shoes Carciofi. that's what I spent my money on, when I was pregnant. And I also invested in an expensive coat, with the reasoning that "I wasn't buying other stuff, and you could leave it open"! Rarely close my coat anyway.

LetThemEatCake · 13/10/2010 12:10

Oh I like Barnes a lot carciofi - I used to live in Kew many moons ago

so what will you spend your health in pregnancy grant on? don't make the same mistake as me Wink. Ladies, you are now officially banned from asking me when I am going to wear my maternity Choos

LetThemEatCake · 13/10/2010 12:11

Fritzi you do indeed sound absolutely gorgeous. Clever dd.

Bloss hope you feel better this morning.
