Original thread here...

Shop on the Beach, who have been reporting that their Merrell coats have been flying out the door [hmm, wonder why...? Grin] following my coat thread, have bloody well sent me a free pair of Merrell boots! And they fit beautifully! And I love them!

They are OFFICIALLY my lovely, wonderful people of choice. Moveover Mr Boden, Mumsnet has a new god...

[And by the way, I do NOT work for them, do not work in marketing/PR, and I asked MNHQ's permission before posting this thread...]

I think Habs deserves a bit of shopping Kudos now. But FWIW I gave up on nappy bags after boy 1: just used whatever biggish bag I fancied along with a foldable nappy mat (you can get one with an attached ziplock pouch for wipes etc) and just used lots of other ziplock bags and snaplock boxes...

Ok, so having read both threads about the Wakefield, I have decided that I can't live without one need to invest

I'm sorry if this has been done before, but what size should I go for - I'm 5ft 7, 10 on top, 10/12 on bottom. Currently have a Lands End Squall thingy in small, which fits fine.

And colour? Do I wait for a plum, or get the black and buy lots of bright scarves and gloves?

Thank you very muchGrin

sandytoes79 · 22/09/2010 20:50

You need a medium, I am exactly same size and height as you and medium perfect on me, you will prob have some room for jumpers underneath (but mine doesn't look too big without, nice and fitted).

I have the black which I love but plum not really my colour, it does look nice...

chegggersplayspop · 22/09/2010 22:07

I agree, get the medium. The black is very versatile so I would go for that, but then I am not really a plum person either.

ttallou, I don't really use a nappy bag anymore either. I wrap nappies, wipes, bags in a carrier bag and stick it either under the buggy or in whatever bag I am using (if its big enough). I use a Cath Kidston messenger bag most of the time, but they are becoming ubiquitous round these parts so I have been boycotting it recently. Great bag, even if it is like the Bermuda Triangle at times (I can never find my keys in it). You can stick it through the wash if it gets grubby, which is a bonus.

Well, I tested the waterproofness of the wakefield well and truly today. Cosy and dry as a bone.

I really don't need another coat. Not really. But I am tempted.

MmeLindt · 16/11/2010 13:43

Can anyone tell me how long the Wakefield is? Is it lined, ie. warm?

I have a short waterproof jacket but nothing long but I do have to be careful that I don't get something too long otherwise I look daft.

BibiThree · 17/11/2010 16:05
