Fritzi - the m&s gilet is sold out I think but check first thing in the morning as they seem to replenish their stock then.

Mine arrived on Friday and its very nice.

traceybath · 19/09/2010 17:38

Am liking this what do we think to leather skirts?

Am envisaging with opaques and my black suede shoe boots.

Lots of good stuff in Style today

notyummy · 19/09/2010 17:48

I like Tracey - how long/short is it?

May not work for a big bird like me...!

They do one in the tall section too.

I'm imagining its a couple of inches above knee but who knows as top shop website is pretty crappy isn't it?

What do you wear on top half though?

BelligerentGhoul · 19/09/2010 17:55

Not fond of that leather mini but I saw a gorgeous leather pencil skirt yesterday and I can't remember where. Maybe Warehouse?

notyummy · 19/09/2010 17:57

Either fitted T or maybe one of the pussybow blouses?

Something fairly understated.

ollie, I forgot to say that I went into Kew and saw the three buckle boot. They looked shiny. The other boots weren't there. As always I left disappointed. Did Kew suit me better when I was a size larger?? They do a good job on their catalogue that's for sure.

Just had a great workout sans spider.

Zembo · 19/09/2010 19:52

Notyummy just showing my face to say thank you for the very yummy beany soup recipe. Made it today using what I had, so slightly different - used passata instead of chopped toms and haricot beans instead of mixed, but was yum. You are so healthy, very inspiring Smile

LetThemEatCake · 19/09/2010 20:42

like the leather tracey. I am on the hunt for a new one having just done the off with the old, which was a bit too big. Tended to wear with wool, as like the contrast of textures. (wore a lot with that pink MJ quincy) Have also been known to wear with slouchy print tee and high patent ankle boots in an effort to look insouciant and rock Blush and Hmm

current food obsession: kohl rabi. So very, very good. And in season, folks!

roma hope you feel better soon.

Agree that leather skirt looks nice. Like the length. Athough would have to be seen in the flesh methinks.

How about this

My goodness.

mrsjuan · 19/09/2010 21:15

hf Shock beyond hideous!

Tracey - I like that skirt and how others have suggested wearing it.

Bunny - those papillon shoes are so lovely. DD is due to have her feet measured again in a couple of weeks...

My friend was wearing these yesterday. I tried them on and they are so comfy & quite flattering. Anyone else tried?

Very un style and beauty day today. DH and I went hovercrafting (I bought it for him for his birthday last year but we've only just got round to doing it). Lots of fun & adrenaliney.

I do like Stockbridge.

There uses to be a great second hand shop in Glasgow in Exchange Square - it might still be there. The BBC and STV used to drop off lots of presenters' clothes. Great finds to be had!

PlumSykes · 19/09/2010 22:13

My dears,

I am so sorry I have neglected you so. Have been down in el dumps re lack of work and thus lack of shopping funds, so avoiding temptation, I guess.

Anyway, I have, this evening, started my own blog, which I shall endeavour to keep up to date.

It's here, have a read and let me know what you think.

I double-triple promise I'll be back on in the morning for a proper read and a catch-up.

Night.

Welcome back Plum. Will def read blog later.

Zembo - you are welcome. So glad you enjoyed it!

Lastly, quick bit of internet shopping for me. In my defence, there are potentially some formal events coming up at DH's Staff College where I will need nice but conservative dresses (don't want the Army lot spluttering into their G and Ts do we HF Wink)

I know they are polyester - but I thought I would give them a whirl:

long dress for evening events

shorter for cocktail thingies

Also got round to the lace tights:
