Hello all!

Cake - come back we neeeeeed you to tell us about your holiday....

OP posts:
FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 08:18

That's great cake! Just email me your address and I'll run the post office a bit later. Was getting a bit stressed about converting measurements from cm to inches and messing things up Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 08:21

Oh, and tracey I totally forgot: Was it you asking about Cerazette the other day? I took it after DD was born and didn't get on with it at all. Put on weight and very irregular/long/uncomfortable periods. Gyn told me to stick with it "for a few months longer" and my body would adjust but I just felt too horrible and stopped taking it.

blossoming · 14/09/2010 08:23

I stand by my wtf about those hf link wellies. Today I will be in hunters. Have you seen this weather???

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 08:24

Is this the M&S fur gilet you are raving about?

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 08:25

Probably better to wear with dresses?

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 08:34

Have watched M&S ad and it's the second. I think I might be getting old because I really liked some of the stuff Blush. Have never bought M&S before except tights/underwear/food...

bunnymother · 14/09/2010 08:44

Fritzi - 2nd fur gilet you linked to is the one Tracey ordered.

DD sitting on my lap so can't reach my lifeline/coffee. At least I have my phone.

Libra - thanks for link to Henley dress! Will keep in mind Cakey feedback re buttons. I am not sure what is going to happen re feeding the twins. Ideally I can breastfeed them without too much drama (was v upset that had lots of problems bf DD). Fingers crossed. Else will turn to formula as won't be able to cope w lots of bf problems whilst caring for newborn twins and still paying some attention to DD. Even w a nanny.

Want some insight into insanity of my hormones? Singing to DD last night (poor love - stopped her in her tracks. Must get lessons) and started singing You Are My Sunshine. Had to stop as "please don't take my sunshine away" made me think of losing DD so got choked up. Goodness me.

blossoming · 14/09/2010 10:02

Oh you poor thing bunny. Pregnancy hormones are the worst aren't they. I'm not sure we ever completely lose them either.

traceybath · 14/09/2010 10:12

Fritzi - yeap it was me regarding cerazette. Am going to go back to dr's this week as its really not suiting me. DH needs to go and get the little op done asap really.

Bunny - hormones are dreadful things aren't they. Both ds's tell me to stop as soon as I either sing or dance - honestly - do they not recognise my talent Wink

Just noticed that brora is opening in Bath in october - oh dear oh dear that will not be good for my purse.

Yes as bunny said it was the second gilet - am having it delivered to local store so as to avoid paying postage. Also figured I'll try it on there and get a refund straight away if its no good.

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 11:07

Just picked up the first conkers outside. Time to pack up the gladiators and maxis I think...

vinvinoveritas · 14/09/2010 11:31

conkers Shock hey it was dark by the time I got home yesterday, and it was only about 7pm!
First exam went very well but nightmare one is tomorrow and I KNOW NOTHING aaaargh am about to go and try and cram but DS is very needy today Confused

Cakey I second your thoughts about charitable klothingkarma arrangements, I have so much stuff I want to get rid of whether I am just trying to clear ut or it no longer fits or is new and never got sent back but I really can't be bothered to ebay

tracey cerazette never suited me, I have seen some threads here in the postnatal section about it as well. I stopped taking it after a few months when I had DD due to celibacy hehe because mainly it just made me feel a bit weird and my periods were all over the place and it messed up my skin

RIGHT just popped in to say hello and I am off before I click on any lovely links Grin take care everyone!

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 12:29

vino glad your exams went well so far! Could you maybe just do something fun with DS for an hour and try to cram a bit later?

Right, decluttering chez Fritzi continues. Have found a necklace (costume jewellery) by a Greek designer. Brand is [[http://www.konplott.de/english/index.php?site=home&style=lovelostlovefound "Konplott"] and quite popular in Germany. Bought the necklace to wear with a dress for my sisters wedding last year but it doesn't really suit me colour- and style-wise. Have only worn it once for a few hours. Pictures are on my profile. It is quite chunky, stones are a light brown/yellowish. Anyone?

Next up for grabs, I have a pair of Hobbs boots, size 38,5 (5,5) which I bought two years ago but have only worn a few times. Colour is a reddish brown/amber? They are not as shiny as it seems on the picture. Stacked heel is 7cm. Fit is rather wide on the calves. Doesn't fit mine and the colour doesn't really go with my clothes. Would be perfect for an "autumn" type or anyone else who fancies them.

If anyone is interested just email me your address:

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 12:31

Here is the link again for the brand of the necklace. Sorry...

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 13:14

This is nice for autumn. Will stop talking to myself now and pick up DD Smile.

bunnymother · 14/09/2010 13:18

Vin - good luck w your exam tomorrow! And never wonder why you are furthering your education!! As my Dad says, the greatest asset you have is you, so invest in it! Have all my fingers crossed for you!

Fritzi - oh, aren't you generous! What a nice thread we have. Neither of those items work for me, but think v generous. As are all the other offers, Wise Ladies!

OllieWollieWoo · 14/09/2010 13:43

Its really cold and wet here today. DSs collected a huge amount of conkers yesterday after school - I still get a thrill of opening up ones still in their shells! Now we have 2 big bowls of them sitting on the table. Will google conker crafts I think!

notyummy - my sister went through the same thing as you are when her DS started school last year as she works very long hours. Like you said, she makes sure she is there for things like sports day, xmas concerts etc and her DS is fine with the child minder. Don't be too hard on yourself - like the others have said, you sound like a great Mum who spends quality time with DD which is the important thing.

Dolcee - have only been to Hereford once. Remember that DH got v excited cos we stumbled across a Dutch shop selling Dutch food and products - down towards the river I think. Doubt its still there - don't believe that Hereford has a big Dutch population! I think there is a cider musueum there tho????

Fritzi - thank you for all the lovely links. I love the RM one but way over budget esp as I have had to buy 2 other dresses for the ceremony and dinner already! Think I will pop into Karen Millen as liked the navy ones. Re us putting pics on FB - didn't you have to delete your FB account? Why dont you set up an account in your MN name and use the fashion fairy email address to do so??? Just a thought?

LTEC lovely idea re charitable contributions. I am due a de-clutter when I have some free time.

I need an A/W daytime dress and like this one from Kew www.kew-online.com/fcp/product/womens-clothing/dresses/Pleat-Front-Dress/99902060 - liked it cos the v neck is not too low (am very pale in winter and don't always want to layer with a vest/cami). Bit confused cos there are other pics of a dress with the same name in diff colours with a much lower v here. Wonder if the pic of the first one is misleading or am I thinking about things way too much???

Gotta go do the school run - in slightly sodden converse!

bunnymother · 14/09/2010 14:00

OWW - higher necked one is wool jersey, lower necked one is cotton/modal. So you would need both to get you through the entire year Wink.

bunnymother · 14/09/2010 14:14

Struggling to get my knee high boots on and off due to Humpty shaped body, so am thinking something like [[http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/81141 these Chloe boots] but in black at a fraction of the cost and, since am being fussy, a slightly lower heel would be ideal. If such boots are spotted, please do let me know!

OllieWollieWoo · 14/09/2010 15:58

Oh Bunny - thanks for that - I never even thought of looking at the material!

blossoming · 14/09/2010 16:37

Bunny, what about the bobby chelsea buckle ankle boot, last on the page?

mrsjuan · 14/09/2010 17:13

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok - some lovely links Smile
Fritzi - if no one else has got in first I'd love the boots - my size and wide fit at calves is good. I'm happy to pay you or give donation to charity of your choice - will email you now. .

FritziGreenEyes · 14/09/2010 17:26

mrsjuan - Got your email. Boots are yours! As I said before I'm happy that some of my stuff has found a good new home Smile.

ollie - Good idea about FB. Feel a bit childish for cancelling my account but there was one guy who kept contacting me and I'd rather not be reminded of him. Sorry I went a bit mad with the links for your dress Blush. Evening wear always gets me ridiculously excited. Wish there were more occasions in my life to dress up properly. Speaking of which: choo have you given your new VWA dress a whirl yet?

LetThemEatCake · 14/09/2010 17:26

good luck in your exams vin!! am sure you'll do brilliantly.

all this talk of fur gilets inspired me to write my blog about my funny experience with mine last week if anyone fancies a read at my (mortified, muttonous) expense Blush

I know most of you don't share my passion for charity shops but honestly ... nipped into oxfam today while dd and ds1 were at nursery to buy coffee & dried apricots and came out with mint condition LK bennett pure wool pencil skirt in black - £4.50 and Zara winter coat in lovely chunky tweed for £7.99. I mean, netaporter it ain't but am seriously wondering whether I will ever bother paying full price for anything ever again, given how quickly I get bored of my clothes.

so wintry here today!!! we're not going to get the promised Indian summer are we?

LetThemEatCake · 14/09/2010 17:33

actually maybe the coat is more herringbone??

Fritzi you made me LOL re M&S - I said exactly the same thing to eie last week "are they getting better or am I just getting older?"

DH does a lot of work with them (food and fashion) and always comes home laughing about how 'like the stylists" I am. Same way of speaking, apparently Hmm

traceybath · 14/09/2010 17:46

LTEC - your blog is hilarious Grin I do agree about m&s - some nice stuff in there especially in the autograph/ltd collection ranges.

Vin - good luck tomorrow Smile
