Generous 10 sounds good. I am nearly always a 10 on top - just find that if things are a small 10 then sometimes too tight across my shoulders.

Would be happy to take it off your hands - shall I make you an offer on the address you posted below? Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 13/09/2010 13:20

Just email me your address and I'll be happy to send it to you Smile. Feels good to find a second home for stuff that clutters up my wardrobe.

FritziGreenEyes · 13/09/2010 13:22

new home I mean!

mrsjuan · 13/09/2010 13:37

bloss - I am in Staffordshire Think the last train back leaves at 9pm so tempted to stay over if DH is ok with that. Strangely, although he knows I'm going down he hasn't asked who I'm going with or why I'm going - hope he's not expecting me to buy his birthday present.

Think there are quite a few of us going now aren't there?

DolceeBanana · 13/09/2010 13:42

Bloss - I didn't realise your DD is so close in age to my youngest DD...who was 11 mths on 2 Sept... Smile

blossoming · 13/09/2010 13:52

dolcee, I told my dh at lunch about your dd's two words and he got this competitive gleam in his eye!! I think he mentioned something about elocution lessons too!

blossoming · 13/09/2010 13:56

Forgot to say I just saw your Kate Barbour in the catalogue. It's gorgeous. Did you get the carbon one? And what colour. I have lived in my Cameron the last few very wet days and dh called me stylish in it.

DolceeBanana · 13/09/2010 14:38

Bloss - yes my dh v competitive too..! They all get there in the end...and we have DC1 and 2 who do not shut up(!)...constantly chuntering. Honestly, a slight reprieve since DS started school last week, but I think she's thinking, 'if i can't beat 'em'....blah, blah ...

Thanks, I am v pleased with 'Kate'...she's nice and slim and neat fitting...also think the Cameron is v stylish! I got Olive in the end...think you were on hols, but I'd ordered (well DH had) Olive by mistake, meant to be black, so delivery driver waited whilst I tried both and opted for the Olive in the end anyway! To his approval I might add!!!! What's this about carbon - Its the lightweight one - does that make sense? And love the lining...liberty pront - oh I could wax lyrical....

So, when's the big 40? I am 41 now... Boo hiss....actually I'm quite comfortable in my skin now...much more so than when I was in my 20's I think... Wink

DolceeBanana · 13/09/2010 14:39

liberty print!

DolceeBanana · 13/09/2010 14:45

Oh we have swimming this pm...It's quite tiring now all this running around malarky...driving miles..!!

By the way Bloss...what did you order for DD from Boden? Any recommendations?

Just ordered DS the indigo anorak for school really....plus tops and tights for Baby and tops for DD1...plus have done a large LaRedoute order for DCs...they have lovely knitted dresses etc for girls and knitwear for boys, so they should be set for A/W...

Right, we're off to Hereford on Saturday...because dh has to do something, but we are all going together and he's popping off and then popping back...anyway, anyone recomment anywhere to go? Things to see...moi et 3 bambinos?

DolceeBanana · 13/09/2010 14:46

Oh, wish I was coming to meet up...but my ILs here ...so no can do!!! Would be fab to meet you all...

notyummy · 13/09/2010 14:49

Dolcee - what a pity you can't make the meet-up! Trying to find a diary date for these sorts of things is a nightmare isn't it? I know LTEC mentioned another one perhaps towards Xmas and before she heads south, so maybe that might be a possibility? Sorry, I don't know Hereford at all, so can't help.

Fritizi - Have emailed you. Many, many thanks - very kind!

OP posts:
DolceeBanana · 13/09/2010 15:00

Thanks ny! Yes, typical! Yes, Xmas would be good...so maybe if everyone wants to get together again!

Right, DD1 screeching...must go...get ready for swimming...catch you all later!

blossoming · 13/09/2010 15:04

dolcee, um cider farms, keep going to Cardiff I would!!

The carbon Kate is warmer I think with thermal lining not liberty print.

40 on 5th October. A Tuesday. Dh working late so celebrating on the 2nd.

I've got swimming next too. Hopefully Boden stuff will arrive tomorrow so will report back.
Oops, late for school run..

Zembo · 13/09/2010 17:47

bloss just signing in quickly to say the barbour cameron arrived today AND it actually fits! Can't believe it! It's lovely as fairly slim fitting and non-bulky yet still warm. Obviously staying, thank you! Will be looking at the catalogue tonight to see if I need anything else Wink

Dolcee I'm 39, will be 40 next June. Kind of you to say you thought I was in my early 30's. I actually feel v happy in my skin too, having a much better time now than I was in my early 20's Grin. Feel fit and healthy and def not menopausal so conception still possible I hope Grin

FritziGreenEyes · 13/09/2010 18:14

Got your email notyummy. This is my first post from iPhone. Am excited! Have to go to parents' evening in a bit. Having a glass of Prosecco Aperol in a nice bar to ease the pain.

blossoming · 13/09/2010 18:18

Oh zembo I'm so pleased especially as I think I persuaded you to get the landsend coat (it was you wasn't it) and it was too big. Watch out with the catalogue though, I now fancy a carbon Kate for non rainy days and, weirdly, a bakerboy hat! As well as having to buy one for dh at christmas too.

Zembo · 13/09/2010 19:24

Good memory Bloss it was me with the landsend, I've been after a waterproof longish coat for a while. Length of the Cameron is perfect on my short frame. Have to do a bit of work then looking forward to the catalogue.

Well done on iphone Fritzi, I still need to work mine out Blush.

Dolcee meant to add, from what I can see of you on FB photos, I'd have put you down as early 30's too.

reallygrumpy · 13/09/2010 19:35

Hey all, just a v quick ques, what's the sizing like on the Barbour cameron? I'm usually a 12 but want to be able to wear a jumper under it so do I need to size up?thanks!

notyummy · 13/09/2010 19:39

Just put DD to bed - all full of her first full day at school. Apparently the best bit was the lunch Grin 'I ate everything up mummy.' I am full of trepidation as it is such a long day for her, due to a combination of my commute and DH being away. Luckily, because we have the mothers help, then she only has to leave the house when she walks around the corner to school at 8 45 (although I leave at 6 15), and then the Kids Club from the nursery she was previously at pick her and couple of other children up from the school and take them to the nursery at 3pm. She's there until 5pm when I collect her. I think we will just see how it goes. The day will be shorter on Fridays, as I don't work - and I am hoping to manage to get away early enough on a couple of afternoons a month to do the pick up from school.

Was invited to 'new parents' coffee by the PTA at the school this morning ('build the friendships that will take you through to Yr 6' chirped the leaflet...of course, I couldn't go.)

THE GUILT!!

Will definitely make the nativity/carol concert, if it kills me.

Sorry, very 'poor me' and not very W & A. Will try and improve!

blossoming · 13/09/2010 20:24

reallygrumpy, I don't think you'd need to size up. I first ordered a 14 for the same reason, but it was definitely too big. What do you think zembo?

You do an amazing job notyummy.

Zembo · 13/09/2010 20:52

Reallygrumpy I'd say fairly true to size so don't need to size up. I did phone the shop before ordering to ask re: sizing too and they said nobody has returned due to not being true to size. My size 8 coat is roomy enough to wear a jumper under but not at all big and bulky looking.

Notyummy i'm with you on all the trepidation re: school. My DD had her full second day today. I dropped her off at 8am and felt awful for most of the day Sad. I left her sat on her own on a bench in a big hall. The other kids were older and all seemed to know each other. The teacher reassured me later that she was taken to the playground before school started at 8.40am, but still feeling Sad about it. I picked her up at 3.30pm today and I think I'm going to change my work contract so I can fit in more with her rather than the other way round. I'm finding the switch from nursery to school a bit of a culture shock to be honest. I'm so used to the nursery telling me what she's eaten/done during the day etc etc and suddenly now I hardly have any info (other than what I can glean from my DD, which unfortunately includes 'I don't know what I had for lunch' which might well mean she didn't have much). Totally not A&W but empathise massively with you.

hf128219 · 13/09/2010 20:55

notyummy zembo Gosh, it's hard isn't it. And I'm 2 years away from school but can still empathise.

All this talk of Barbours! I have an International one. Bloss Dh has the 'Bushman' - it's quite nice.

blossoming · 13/09/2010 21:10

Nice hf. Dh wants the challenger.

He also wants to buy me something else for my birthday. I'm racking my brains here!

hf128219 · 13/09/2010 21:23

Welly boots
