I'm quite a chunky lass...with a big baby overhang Blush

I have a pair of jeans, a pair of linen trousers and a pair of 3/4 jeans.

And I have 3 tops Blush

I am sick of trawling through charity shops and never being able to find anything I like.

I hate clothes shopping and money is really tight so has anyone got any good places to shop or ideas on things I could get away with wearing.

Usually I wear blacks and greys, although today I am wearing white trousers!!!

Please help...I feel as though I am stuck in a rut.

New Look range is worth a look for basics too. I think it's called 'Inspire'. They always have more on-line than in the shops.

Does anyone know where this dress is from?

Really like but cannot search for it.

Knickers - don't know but it's lovely. Ask the seller a question?

Are you feeling any better about your stylee??

knickers0nmyhead · 08/08/2010 00:27

Think I may have a mooch round the carboot later, see if I can pick anything decent up.

Have you had a nice birthday?

OP posts:
nickschick · 08/08/2010 01:58

It was ok Im not v into my birthday (miserable depressing thing in childhood)but ive had several nice pressies and my friend came to visit this evening and ds3 made me a surprise cake Smile-ds1 got me the most fab shoes for my bday too - hes 17 and so good at fashion .....it sounds a bit gay but hes really got that touch at xmas he persuaded me to buy an elasticated gold sequin belt .....where would I ever wear it I protested .....i bought it and wore it loads - so much so that several of my mates bought them too -we were the golden gut girls lol.

Carboots are fab for bargains - i got a pair of stone coloured linen trousers in tesco today half price £6.

Finding a preloved Wink item really makes my day.
I love a jumble sale too.

Its a shame we didnt have this chat earlier in the week I sold some size 22 stuff on ebay for peanuts.

nickschick · 08/08/2010 01:59

The way I worded my above statements is exactly how I speak Blush I ramle along flitting from subject to subject Smile.

knickers0nmyhead · 08/08/2010 15:05

Oh that was a shame!

Glad your birthday was ok.

Well....we overslept, and didnt get to the carboot until 11am!!! But, good job we did, as I have managed to get a few things and spent £30! The most expensive thing was a beautiful dress for £5 in a 16 ((inspiration to slim))

Going to go again next week as someone who I bought a few things from is going to be there and she's keeping them to one side for e to look at and have first dibs!!

I keep looking on freecycle too on the off chance that someone is giving some away.

Have been keeping my eye out of scarves etc but nothing has sprung up yet.

oh great stuff - tell me what you bought !!!

knickers0nmyhead · 09/08/2010 00:03

They are all out on the line now but about 10 tops (including a couple of 'going out' tops) a lovely pair of jeans, a couple of skirts and two dresses.

Got size 20 tops as think I must of been selling myself short, if that is the correct term to use.

Not sure if any of them fit yet though.
