Hi all,
i'm an ex smoker who quit cigarettes by using vapes and now quitting the vapes using patches/gum/spray!
I've managed to get myself to a point where I was using the step 2 patches and after a while found they were making me too nauseous so I took this as a sign that there's more nicotine in my body than needed and I've gone down to step 3 7mg.
This week I have been the lowest I've been in years, I have used nicotine as a mood stabilieser to stop me having to deal with uncomfortable feelings so this week I've focused on trying to get through the feelings and ride them like a wave but jesus christ the withdrawal is as if I haven't got a patch on at all! I'm seriously proud that I've done 6 days with it despite how hard its felt and I'm now starting to have a lift in mood, I'm able to talk manage mood swings a bit easier so that's all great I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same kind of experience and then just taken off the patch?
I'm hoping that I will just forget the patch one morning and feel the same and then feel confident that I can manage my moods because I've done it for the last week or so kind of thing.
Any advice or experiences would be great :)
Reason for quitting vaping is nothing personal against vapes, its just that i don't want to be ruled by nicotine anymore! :)
