Can I combine vaping with Nicolette?

I'm pretty sure I'll be going backwards, but I stopped vaping (disposables, 1 every 2 days) 2 weeks ago. I'm living on nicorette lozenges, which are good. But I'm really struggling with life in general at the moment - I'm a widow of 2 years, just gone through a horrendous break-up, and in a job I hate (albeit leaving in August)...I just want the odd vape, and combine it with the lozenges - is that possible do you think??! I know it's a crutch but I'm just so miserable :(

Whoops, I meant to put Nicorette lozenges as the subject!

How many lozenges are you having a day / week?

I would compromise with myself - allow one vape to be used all week and reduce your lozenges by a 7th. Then the week after reduce the lozenges a bit more…. Essentially always decreasing the lozenges but not increasing the vapes.

You’d probably do better with Nicorette patches and Nicorette inhalator (sucky device) and no cigs/vapes at all.

Just be careful - I kind of over-did it with the nicotine- rather stupidly cutting large patches in half to save money sometimes wearing more than one 🙄

I ended up with the most horrendous and unpredictable shits! But that was extreme.
Your lozenges will mean you vape less.

If you are doing this to avoid smoking then hell! Anything that works for you right?

@cookiedough23 is there a regional stop smoking support ? We have some here in Ireland. Might be a helpful resource that can advise less steep stepping stones? Best of luck with it.

Thanks all. I'm chewing on about 8 lozenges a day and a couple of the chewing gums too, but don't find they have that much effect. It lifts my mood. I think I'm pretty depressed (which I am trying my best to deal with...exercise, meditation, medication etc).

Could you use a nicotine fee vape do get that habit forming fill?

Also what strength lozengers are you using? You may need the 4mg ones if you're using the 2mg ones.

It's better to find a combination that works for you and will help you quit fully eventually rather than relapsing after a few months.

Yes, tried a couple of the nicotine free vapes, I found them too frustrating! It’s the 2mg ones, maybe I’ll try the 4mg ones.
i quite like the idea of making one disposable last a week. Is there some kind of safe with timer i can buy to stop me overdoing it?!!
