1day if no vapes

Today is day 1 of no vapes. I am doing it because I can't afford it, for my health and also because my daughter (7) told me she hates it.
I vape all the time. It has been in my hand constantly for over 3 years, and on my working from the office days I get twitchy when I don't have it. I have the 'escape the vape' app and it has a great feature that shows me how much money i am saving and i really like that.
Anyone else just starting out? Words of encouragement appreciated! I know I'll miss it later when the kids are down and I'm watching netflix with a cup of tea

Hi, how are you getting on? I gave up (before Christmas) but am now trying to get off the nicotine substitutes! My son also hated it and chucked away every vape he found. They get a lot of lectures about it in school I think.

Vaping left me with a terrible dry mouth and my gums and lips were getting sore

I just wish the govt would ban the damn disposables now as it's too easy to start again on a bad day, they're in literally every corner shop.

Trying low strength patches now (the gum also isn't great for the mouth) but can't get the buggering things to stick on.

Hey! Well done for quitting!
So I lasted 3 days without and then I caved and bought one. I am really disappointed with myself. I was actually amazed at how hard I found it and I was so positive when I started. But one stressful day at work and I bought one on the way home.
But... I have cut right down. I used to go through one disposable vape a day, but I am actively using it less i.e keeping it out of the way at home, working more from the office where I can't vape, leaving them at home when I go out...
I have one open and its lasted me for three days. I don't know if cutting down or quitting full stop is the best way to quit, but cutting down is really working for me and every day I use it less everyday.

I agree, I am welcoming the day they are banned as I won't bother buying a refillable one.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, stress is the worst esp when they're so readily available. If you had to speak to a pharmacist to get one, It'd be more of an incentive to stay stopped.

Personally I'm having the week from hell but I've got a patch on and managing to resist! The vapes were giving me tongue and mouth ulcer issues so have to keep reminding myself that I need to stay off them.
