Found Mary

I’m a social smoker and am at a bbq today and some ex-smoker mates are vaping. I had a try of a Found Mary one and it was quite nice so I’m going to get one as I feel grubby blowing a proper cig over everyone.

I know precisely zero about vapes. Any tips on flavours, or alternatives to FM that will easily fit in a small pocket or bag? Prefer menthol to fruity if I had the choice. Layman’s terms please!

Get a pod system and some menthol liquid, costs a lot less than disposables. Xros ones are pretty good.

Honestly I think I’d be better with a little disposable one for now, as I won’t be using it too frequently and just want to chuck it in my bag / pocket when I go out. No faffing!

I’m googling and there is also Lost Mary. Anyone know what the difference is?

Lost Mary’s are a lot better than Found Mary’s. Flavour is much nicer.

BUT, they’re all very fucking addictive. I would avoid at all costs if you can, but still better than smoking fags in reality.

I quit smoking cigarettes 7 years ago, went onto a proper vape with a refillable tank and straight into 3mg nicotine liquid (avoiding nicotine withdrawals because the proper vapes are much more effective at making use of the small amount of nicotine so you get the same “hit” as you’d get from a much higher nicotine cigarette), in the past year I’ve ended up on the disposables for convenience - which are 20mg nicotine and feel like I’m back to square one, and you’ll end up spending as much as you do on cigarettes, a disposable is about £6.

You can buy Nicotine free Elf Bars online, which could be worth a try.

You might find you vape more than you do smoke but get a little one for now. My husband only used to smoke 1-2 a day but now vapes all day long, it’s the first thing he does in the morning when he wakes up.

Smoking actual cigarettes is time limited to the time it takes to smoke a cigarette, and often comes with inconveniences like going outdoors or being in an appropriate place away from others, no such limitations exist with the disposable vape, you will genuinely be vaping all day long once you get into this game.

My ex used to call my disposable “your dummy” because I always had it with me and would be scratting around lifting up cushions and objects almost in a panic looking for it if it went out of sight.

@MachinesOfGod what is the difference between all the Mary’s? Seems there is lost, found and bloody?

Are there any others that come in compact sizes like those?

I’m hoping I won’t vape more! At the moment I only ever have a ciggie when I’m out drinking, or occasionally if stressed at home. I have teenagers who, so far, haven’t caught me smoking. Wouldn’t want them to catch me vaping either!

Can anyone recommend a good menthol one? Not sweet mint

I’ll also add you will end up with it in your hand all day long, even if you’re sneaking about with it.
