I’ve set a date to give up. I know this is what I need to do to improve my life and the lives of my family. I’ve told my family my date so there’s no backing down.
One of my main, weird worries is what do I when I’m stressed. I’ve always had a cigarette, away from everyone and had 5 minutes to myself. This has been for the last 20 years, give or take a few years of being pregnant when luckily the smell made me vomit so I didn’t touch them. What do people who don’t smoke do when they’re stressed?
I’m actually stressing about it from now and would love to be prepared for the situations that will be difficult.

I have no idea. But I’ll finf out. I just created a stoptober thread. I hope it takes off as we could all support each other. What’s your date for stopping?

My date was two weeks ago. So far so good. I’ve cried a bit more when I’m stressed and I’ve walked my dog. I’m reading Allen Carr’s book which has helped loads too (you’re supposed to read it before you stop so grab it if you can). I’ve decided I’m a non-smoker and I will never smoke another cigarette again. But it is really hard so I’d love to still join you for that support thread @SciFiGirl.
