Brown flecks - bit nasty!!

Hi,
I was really ill over xmas, the fags were making me feel terrible. I have not had a proper cigarette since 1st Jan.
I'm vaping at the moment.
Sorry to be a bit crude, but when I am coughing up phlegm now, it has brown flecks in it, is this my lungs clearing or is it vaping. I am not sure, has anyone noticed this when then have stopped smoking?
When I was smoking, no flecks.

After about 48 hours of not smoking the lungs start to clear out mucus and other smoking debris, that's likely what you're seeing.
No solid particles in vapour so definitely not that.
