Hi folks. I quit two weeks ago today and have been doing pretty well with my vape. But I've had a horrid day. Kids have been hard work, teething toddler who's been screaming all night for the past two nights and I'm really really really craving a cig right now.
My cheerleaders are all at work so I'm just hoping someone out there can give me a bit of a morale boost that this is worth it... I know it's worth it but right now the "go buy a pack" voice is screaming a lot louder and I want to shut it up!

Just think how much better you will feel in the morning if you don't give in. You can do this! I know it's hard but you've done the hardest bit. How about a soak in the bath with a book? Stay strong!

Go brush your teeth! It’ll curb the craving

CaviarAndCigarettes · 26/05/2018 20:24

@Watto1 id love a soak but grumpy toddler is making that impossible. I'm sat vaping and watching reruns till she settles 😫

Thank you though. It's just nice having someone to say stay strong.

I also can't go buy a pack because I'm home alone with the kids and they're all in bed. It's just getting my head back to the good space

It was getting really angry that finally enabled me to quit. Fucking tobacco companies profiting from my misery, and then looking to recruit new young smokers to replace me once I die. I gave up 15 years ago now. Used to give up every Monday, but it was the rage that made it stick. Fuck them.

Don't give in. 2 weeks is awesome, if you can do that you can keep going. Your future self will be eternally grateful.

I have one left. Quitting today. So looking for a buddy

CaviarAndCigarettes · 26/05/2018 20:31

@DavidSebastianWaghorn thank you.
For me it's the dependence. The panic if I was running low. The anger if my husband wanted one and I only had six left because it took four to get me through the night and morning with the kids,
I hated sneaking out for a cig and missing out on time with them. I've never smoked indoors and never in front of them so in the summer when they're in the garden my whole day was centred around how and when I could have a smoke...
Thank you, you've reminded me of so many reasons why I needed to quit
