Vaping help

I am new to vaping and have just bought a T18 as recommended by my local vape shop. I bought 4 liquids all different flavours. They put the first liquid in for me, but what do I do when I want to change? Do I pour the liquid already in it away and just put new flavour in? Or do I always have to wait until I have emptied the liquid by vaping before I can change?

Also, how often do I need to change the coil?

At the moment it makes me cough, am I doing something wrong? I have liquids of 10ml and also 6ml until I see which I prefer.

Sorry for daft questions, this is all so new to me but I am determined to stop smoking!

Use the liquid up until the last bit but don't let it completely dry out. Then top up with the new flavours juice. There may be a over lap for a while but it won't last forever.

Sore throat are you taking the vape down into your lungs or just in your mouth?
Does it make your tongue tingle or burn?
Is there a setting on the side of the vape?

Thank you. Can I empty it out if I am bored and want to change to a new liquid? Do I need to wash it or anything?

I haven't got a sore throat it just really makes me cough if I inhale the same way I did with cigs.

No setting on the side.

Sorry forget to mention you will know when you need to change the coil as it will either begin to taste of nothing or it will be like sucking up the smell of burnt paper - either way it is yuck!

It's perfectly normal to cough when you start vaping - it takes a while to get used to, but if it continues to be a problem, consider trying a juice which has a higher VG to PG ratio - the PG is what gives the throat hit, the VG gives more vapour.

You won't break anything by emptying out juice if you want a change of flavour/strength, and there's no need to wash the tank out - as mentioned above, you'll get some flavour overlap, but they usually blend quite well. I usually have several vape devices on the go (shinyitis!) with different flavours in each - but that's for the future., when you've decided you're sticking with vaping :)

Best of luck with it - do persevere, because it's worth it in the end!

Thank you, glad to hear its nrmal! I didn't cough quite as much today. Oh good I am excited to try new juices so I will have a go at that! I really cut down on cigarettes today so it's already helping.

The T18 is a great starter kit but one thing to watch is when you change the coil you have to empty the tank first or else when you remove the old coil, liquid pishes out the top.
I'm now 5 years smoke free thanks to vaping and I only meant to cut down on combustibles not quit but found it easy to switch altogether after 4 days and I was 35 years a 20 p/day smoker. Good luck!

I coughed a bit at first, take really slow drags as that helps

The cleaning and everything just seems too complicated to me. I don't know…it's hard enough to find the right e-liquid and everything and then you have to learn about coil changing, cleaning the vape… I won't be able to do it, I'm sure. I mean…I'm not stupid but I'm certainly glad there is an easier way. My husband bought me vapour2 ecigs for my birthday you just screw the thing with e-liquid on top of the battery and you're good to go. When you finish it you just change it. Easy as that…no unnecessary hustle.

Ollivander84 · 04/01/2018 00:23

mum - they're fairly easy! I put the coil in then add liquid. When liquid runs low, top it up. If it tastes burnt, I change the coil. That's it

Jins · 04/01/2018 17:19

I haven't found it complicated either and I wouldn't want to be limited to the flavours you can get in a particular range of cartridges. In the unlikely event of me running out of Eliquid I can pick some up in garages or supermarkets.

I don't have to worry about coils any more as I use rebuildables now. That is a bit more complicated but still pretty straightforward.

I love the fact that there's something for everyone in the vaping world. Such a difference from my first attempt

@Jins
Yeah…I see how that could be annoying, not to be able to use other liquids but the ones the brand makes in the prefilled cartridges, but with vapour2 they make blank cartridges and you can use any liquid you want to. :)
