Stop smoking

Just changed the coil and now my vape tastes burnt and disgusting - what have I done wrong?

I'm using the endura t22 and I love it, never had any problems until today. This morning it was gurgling and leaking so I decided maybe the coil needed changing. I've swapped it for a new one, following the instructions that came with it. The leaking and gurgling has stopped but it tastes awful and burnt now and is burning the back of my throat.

Any idea why this might be? I can't think what else to try.

I don't know that model of cape, but it sounds like the coil is burnt. Is it the type that needs to be saturated in a bit of e-liquid before you use it? Thats the case with mine, and I also have to 'dry cape' without any power for a few puffs before firing it up, or it burns and thats it - its done and need a new coil.

cape = vape

Thanks 34A, sounds like I've burnt it then. How annoying! I don't even have anymore coils for it.

I've a couple of the endura prism tanks and occasionally get the same issue. Problem is the heating element is at the top of the coil so liquid has to travel up the way to wick properly. As mentioned above priming the coil should solve the issue but I generally leave new coils for 30 mins before using. If the burnt taste continues then it's a duff coil which sadly seems to be a feature. Shame cos it's a decent faff free setup.
