Starting to think less than 5 a day isn't a big deal.
Wouldn't it be nice to have cigarette in the sunshine with a glass of wine....

Google the progress you have made after a few days of not smoking - this helped me when i was wavering. Hang on in there it is worth it.

Do you mean you are not on nicotine gum but ordinary chewing gum?

Options:

  • if you want to stick with cold turkey, ride the cravings out. Individually each craving only lasts a few minutes so do something to distract yourself. Consider getting the Allen Carr book if you haven't tried it already.
  • get thee to a chemist and get some NRT. Use plenty and don't be afraid to double up - e.g. patches and gum.
  • get an ecig. Local vape shops are best when you are starting out but even the pound shop kits are at least as good as NRT.
  • go to the GP and ask for Champix - may not be suitable if you have any history of MH issues.
  • contact your local stop smoking services. They can talk you through all the options and offer ongoing support whichever method you choose.
