Hi all,
I need to stop smoking. would like to buy ecigarettes or vape but not sure where to even start! what do most people buy? I currently smoke about 7-10/day. don't want anything fancy, just an easy alternative. Can anyone recommend a starting product?
many thanks

I'm only a newbie so others may advise you more. For me, though, I tried the ciggy look a likes but they didn't quite do it for stopping cravings. Have a look round the internet, there are lots of interesting videos/demo's on youtube worth mooching through. It was only when I got my kangertech evod 2 pens that I found something that 'hit the spot' and satisfied me (though I smoked more than you - 15 to 20 a day) Got these after watching youtube reviews. You also need e liquid with at least 12 mg of nicotine to start with (mine is 18 mg). Once you get used to holding it like your chewing a pencil and taking the vape in slowly your good to go, just vape when you want to smoke. My main hurdles were getting used to holding the ecig differently and not feeling bad about a good strength of nicotine. Just reminded myself about the absence of tar and 4000+ chemicals then walked round holding the ecig in my hand for a day or two. Ordered my starter kit and e liquid online at 'Vapertech' who I had no problems with and found reasonably priced. Good Luck and let us know how you get on Smile

When i started vaping i LOVED the vapourize kits, its about £20 for a kit with a bottle of liquid ( i like strawberry and apple flavours). I bought mine on a whim from a newsagent. I would suggest starting on a 1.2% liquid sometimes they are sold as 12mg.

I ave been vaping for over a year,i did smoke 20 a day, i wouldnt ever go back now. Now i never have a crafty one, although i did in the beginning. The vaping thread on here was an amazing help to me in the beginning.

Vaping shops can be really helpful and you can try flavours etc.

Just do it, you wont look back!

Go to a local independent vape shop & ask for advice.

They'll set you up with a kit & a couple of juices to try & it shouldn't cost you more than about £35.

My internet is playing up & this is the only link I can get but I know you can get cheaper.

Come back with any questions: "No question is too daft" is our motto here.

I am now 3 years done of not smoking & vaping instead & it's amazing.

Good Luck!

I started by simply walking into my local Vapour Trail and saying "ok I'm here, what do I do now?'
I was swiftly kitted out with a vaping device, enough juice for a week, and instructed in its use. This cost less than the 100 cigarettes I would otherwise have bought that morning. So I kind of started off thinking well, those 100 cigs would have lasted me till Minday so if I can cope with this vaping till Monday then I haven't lost anything.
I'm still at it some weeks on. Best thing I could've done.
But I had tried the ones that look like cigarettes as well, with no success.
