Hey guys,

Been vaping since Thursday and had my last fag on Saturday morning. Feeling fine mentally but physically is another matter. I feel like I'm having the world's worst hangover... aching all over, headache, lethargic, weepy, irritable... just generally like absolute shit cry emoticon I know feeling ill can be common when you stop smoking but everything I have read puts that down to nicotine withdrawal, which obviously I'm not going through.

Is this normal? I can cope if it is! As long as I know it will pass...

I don't think it's down to the vaping, Boutonneux - sadly it sounds like you are going down with one of the viruses that are doing the rounds atm.

And are you drinking plenty of water? That's very important when you stop the fags & start vaping.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'm drinking plenty of coffee and diet coke - I assume that doesn't count?!

Cheers magi, maybe I am just coming down with some sort of bug. I'm at the doctors on Wednesday about something else anyway, so I'll mention it then if I'm still feeling rough.

I have the lurgy at the moment - tired yet not sleeping well, headachy, miserable, all my usual achy bits hurting worse than usual etc and absolutely zero energy. as I've been over a year without stinky fags, it definitely isn't the vaping doing it.

The point of the water is that it helps the body flush out all the OTHER nasties you get through smoking - in fact the majority of the feeling shite people get when they give up smoking isn't from the nicotine but from all the other crap that comes with it in fags.

Increase in liquids of most types will help, but coffee and diet coke can't take as much waste away as water can, as they contain their own stuff that your body needs to get rid of.

Time to up the water intake then Smile

Hope you feel better soon Allergic Flowers

Sorry to hear you've got the lurgy, Allergic - I've just got over it - took 5 weeks for it to finally go!

Thanks polter.

I've felt less shitty and more human as the day has gone on and am not feeling too bad at all now, just still very tired... so fingers crossed it's just some sort of bug I've got.
