Difference between pg and vg?

Hi I'm new to vaping can anyone tell me what the pg and vg is all about please? And also how you find out if there in them? At the minute I'm on the totally wicked juice and can't see anything on the box/bottle thanks

TW liquids come in 2 different blends - the Red Label is 50/50 PG/VG, and the others are 70/30 PG/VG.

PG tends to give more of a throat hit while VG is better for vapour. Virtually all pre-made liquids are a mixture of the 2 as that gives the best all round performance from a liquid; however some people can be sensitive to PG so some manufacturers (usually boutique makes that do made to order) produce a VG only type. VG on it's own tends to be a bit too thick for good vaping which is why it's avoided.

If you have a look on the Totally Wicked web site not only does it give the ratios of PG to VG in it's liquid, but it has a support section that explains the difference in laymans terms except they call "VG" "AG" for some reason, possibly because VG needs to contain a small amount of water

You may want to think of trying out a few different makes as well. Most UK made liquids these days use a 50/50 blend, and many are considerably cheaper than TW!

Ok I've been abit jubious about trying others due to the fact a lot are made over seas and we don't know what's in them. Please could you advise me on some uk ones I could try if you don't mind thanks

Don't underestimate the side effects of stopping smoking. It can make you feel quite yucky whatever method you use. What sort of flavours are you using?

I've been on golden tobacco just got a menthol and a strawberry to try.

As Plenty says, you've got an awful lot of changes happening to you right now. Your body has got used to all the other nasties that you get in fags so it will take a while to adjust e.g. I went through a phase of greasy skin & hair (used to be incredibly dry) that took ages to settle down, and of course it can take weeks or even months for the lungs to finish coughing up all the muck.

How are you getting on with the menthol and strawberry? Changing flavours can help a lot if it's tasting a bit yuk.

Other side effects of quitting smoking: headaches, constipation, feeling low (there are lots more psychoactive chemicals in fag smoke than just nicotine), bleeding gums. These are usually temporary but do visit your dentist if you haven't been for a while. Smoking masks the effects of gum disease.

Hi sorry for not replying had some bad news. Yes really liked the menthol on the strawberry at the minute but can't really taste the strawberry in it but can smell it!! Finding it easier than I thought I would. Bn a strain with the bad news but managed to stick at it x
