Mod or spinner

Sounds like I'm asking to choose sides!
Hi all,
Just wanted to ask a q-
After gaining all of your help in starting vaping I'm now gradually understanding a lot more.
I've worked up from an evod, to an ego c twist -
Now I'm ready to stop duelling and commit fully! I tried a mod in my local shop (square box like) where you could adjust the power and it was great.or do I stick with buying two spinners as I have spare tanks etc?! Could anyone help?

Hi Blakey. Depending on which mod you tried it may well have had similar functionality to your Ego C Twist, which allows you to adjust the voltage anyway. However they do usually have a bit more to them e.g. my eLeaf iStick you can vary the wattage as well as the voltage, same with the MVP and I think most can be set to auto to adjust themselves according to the coil. Plenty is the in-house expert on shiny mods, so hopefully she'll come on with advice too.

From the tank point of view, virtually all e-cigs these days come able to take the standard 510 or Ego thread, or have an adaptor which should come with the battery so don't worry about that - I currently use my 4 different tanks on standard ego type batteries, Evod twist, spinner v2 and iStick.

Many standard vv batteries are available in 1300mAh, Spinners can come up to 1600mAh, and box mods like the MVP around 2-3000mAh, the larger that number the bigger the charge & therefore longer between charges.

So it really comes down to 3 factors - just how much extra functionality you want, how long you want between charges, and the look/feel of the device. The box mods can feel surprisingly good in the hand for most people, but some don't like how they look or the look of the tank the way it sits on them. My current personal preference is the iStick, but I'm still very happy with my spinners & even the cheaper Evod twists.

A forgot to say. one slight difference is that I find the box mods to feel a bit more sturdy. This may not matter to some, but if like me your biggest expense is broken tanks due to constantly dropping my e-cig, that's worth taking into consideration!

Brill allergic.

So actually a spinner would be ideal really.i just thought there seemed to be a bit more "vapour/throat hit" on the boxes but if not I'll stick with a spinner!
Yeah I have a few aspire bdc tanks, an their cheap enough to replace.
I didn't want to get the dreaded "shinyitis" just for sake of it.
I seem to have hit into the juices I like, but of ry4 with a drop or two of vanilla; although vanilla and custards seem to wreck coils!
I've got the hang of cleaning/charging/changing coils.
I just wanna make sure I'm getting the same hit but it sounds like the spinner will do just fine Grin

Well you do have that local shop where you could try them... Wink. The juice can make a big difference, and of course things like throat hit & vapour are as much from the atomiser/tank and the liquid.

Have you actually tried fiddling about with the voltage on your existing Ego C twists?

Blakey3166 · 02/02/2015 20:38

Yes, it seems to sit best on 3.8 an doesn't burn the liquid to much.so I think that's why a spinner would probably still suit?

I suggest you to grab a mod! The flavor would be better since you can adjust the output power!

Allergictoironing · 12/02/2015 11:03

Erm WenstonMum that's exactly what she would be doing with a spinner - adjusting the output by changing the voltage! Same with the iStick we are talking about here, where you get the choice of changing the voltage or the wattage.
