Vision spinner - quick charger question

MeganChips · 31/01/2015 11:48

I have just bought a vsion spinner after my e-cig The One kit battery started to die.

It doesn't have a charger with it, am I ok to use the fast USB charger that came with my One kit or am I at risk of burning the house down?

This is the charger.

Thanks!

I don't know - but am posting to 'bump' this for you.

Could you ring the place you bought it from or even a local independent vape shop - am sure they'd be happy to tell you.

I did a bit of research on battery charging safety recently. The charging unit itself tends not to be the problem (unless it's a very cheap knock-off), but people charging with unsuitable mains plug attachments that charge at a faster rate than the battery is safe with. So only charge with the USB plugged into a PC/laptop port or a mains adaptor sold specifically for use with e-cigs as the charging rate is lower with those.

From everything I have seen it should be fine to use the UK E Cig Store charger with any standard battery - they sell that charger separately for use with all their devices. "Quick" or "faster" are relative descriptions, I'd guess they have upgraded a bit from an older charger design at some stage.

Ah brilliant, thanks Allergic I'll give it a go.

It hasn't needed charging yet though (arrived fully charged) and I've been using it constantly for 2 days. I have to say I'm quite impressed with the battery life.

Thanks for bumping magimedi.

Yes it should be fine. I really wish vendors would put the spec of the chargers on the product description. These are the numbers there should be on the charger and on any plug you use. Problems occur when people use mains chargers that output over 500mA (0.5A).
