Vape juice?

This might sound like a daft question to those in the know but I have always bought my juice/liquid from the same place as I bought my kit. There are a few shops opened up since that are nearer and cheaper but they are a different brand. Does this matter or can you use any liquid in any e.cig.

Ooh massive subject! In theory they are similar, in that they are all made with a PG/VG base of some proportion with added nicotine & flavourings, and can all be used in just about any tank - but that's where the similarity ends!

There's basically around 3 different levels of e-liquids around - imported from China, made by big companies in the UK then rebranded, or "boutique" small manufacturers. That's the order for quality in general, and usually for price too i.e. Chinese imports cheapest/lowest quality, boutique liquids best/most expensive.

What brand were you vaping before, and what's the new alternatives on offer?

Thanks for your reply. The cig and the liquid I have been using is eCigwizard. I'm not even sure how they compare with other brands but it was the only shop I knew of at the time. Now, as I said they seem to be popping up all over the place. A lot of the ones I have noticed recently have been just a stand inside another shop, ie a computer repair and spares shop nearby have them in their window whereas the eCigwizard shop is a specialist store and there's no point asking my question there as obviously they promote their own product.
I'm not sure what the other brands are, I haven't had a real good look, I've just noticed them everywhere and wondered wether they are the same. I will take note the next time I am passing.

This may be contoversial but I don't think there's that much correlation between price and quality. It's all just PG/VG + nicotine + artificial flavourings. The 'boutique' places tend to offer more individual flavours they have mixed themselves. The important thing is to find the flavours you like, along with getting a blend of PG/VG that suits you and getting the nicotine strength right.

I vape a lot of Hangsen (£2/10ml, chinese, 80/20 PG/VG), some Joose Juice (£1.49/10ml, made in UK, choice of PG/VG ratio), occasionally Alchemist's Cupboard (UK made, £4.59/10ml, 50/50 PG/VG) and occasional T Juice (UK made, £5.95/10ml, 80/20 PG/VG) - and rather a lot of Grant's Vanilla Custard (UK made, £12/30ml, choice of PG/VG). All the ranges have some flavours I like and some I don't

The way I started was buying a lot of different sorts of flavours in the cheap brands and working out what kind of flavours I like and which I don't. I think I saved a bit by discovering early on, for eg. that I hate menthols and love vanillas, before shelling out for something that's £6 a pop.

PG/VG ratio -

PG for flavour and throat hit
VG for lots of vapour

Some people are a bit sensitive to PG and do better on a VG based juice.

I mix my own now, much much cheaper in the long run. Just bought 250 ml of nic liquid for £27 ish which will make me a litre ish of liquid, and last me about 7 months. (Flavours from t juice mostly)

That's something I'm thinking of getting into Letthem - how much do you reckon it costs you per 10ml?

Some very quick maths works out at 72p for 10 ml t juice, excluding postage costs of ingredients and the cost of a syringe and bottle.

Thanks, that sounds well worth it - for T Juice that's about 12% of the price for ready made! The difference will be a bit less for cheaper brands that I like, but still ... I need to declutter a bit before I order anything.

But you have to remember that the t juice concentrate makes up the bulk of that 72p, and other concentrates are much cheaper.
