After a failed attempt with vaping I'm back to give it another go. My first problem was not being able to work out how to use the ecig I had as no instructions! I've now ordered a starter kit recommended on here as it comes with a manual. My second problem after visiting a shop to test liquids was that they hurt my throat. From reading on here I think this is because they were 100% PG. So, I'm looking for VG or 50/50 I think? Which supplier would people recommend?
I smoke roll ups so think that's why the PG ones seem too harsh

You should also make sure that at least for the first couple of weeks you have some liquid near at hand to drink, as many people find they need to drink more to prevent a sore throat for a while (something to do with the body adjusting to the differences).

You could also think about your vaping patterns. With real fags the pattern is smoke the whole thing in the 5-10 minutes it lasts then another one an hour or so later, whereas with vaping I tend to take a few draws every 10-15 minutes. At first it feels like you're vaping LOADS, but actually you aren't especially when you take into consideration that the nicotine is absorbed very differently.

Thanks for the advice. Ordered some pure VG and 50/50 from Pure Vape. It's quite hard to choose with so many flavours.
DH has ordered different kit and liquids so hopefully between us we will have success.
So sick of being a smoker and really want vaping to be the answer. Might be back with questions once the kit arrives, wish us luck!

Slow down PolterGoose! Too much technical info, give me a chance!

Good luck! You've had some great advice here. Do come back and ask whatever questions you have.

Cutting through some of Polter's enthusiastic tech talk, I would also recommend you try something like the GS-H2 tank. It tends to work well with the higher VG liquids and I find it gives a better vape than that standard CE4 you get with most starter kits. There's plenty of videos on line showing how to fill it & clean it etc, plus it's CHEAP. We tend to recommend a seller on e-bay named Klaudo - cheap, reliable, all proper stuff not clones. Ignore what his adverts say about not using the kit with nicotine based products, that's a requirement of E-bay Confused.
