How's everyone doing with the NatureVape coils?

I know a few of you are using these, how are you getting on?

Last night I finally stopped eyeing mine suspiciously and got round to actually trying it. It's very very nice. Lots of snap, crackle and pop, lots of flavour, lots and lots of vapour.

However, I won't be using it all the time because:

  1. It fucking eats juice! I got through almost a whole clearo in less than an hour (this would normally last me the best part of a day) Most of the juice ended up as a Big Cloud which, while pretty, is IMO a bit of a waste.

  2. At 1.5 ohms it fucking eats battery life too! I could dial down on the volts but that kind of takes away the point of the thing. I'm only using 3.7V but generally don't use anything below 1.8ohms.

I'm glad I bought one and will enjoy using it on occasion. It's also good to see how it's made - it's inspired me to try making some coils with thicker wire and more turns. I probably won't go full micro-coil but will find a happy medium between this and the little 5 turn coils I'm making at the moment.

Also, it wets itself onto the battery quite a lot. Is anybody else having this problem? Are any of you adding a bit of flavour wick?

I'm getting on really well! i bought the mini tank and an additional DCD coil for my mini protank.
I have also noticed it eats juice, i'm always filling up (using needle point pipette things for the Naturevape tank and its silly little holes lol!
But i enjoy the flavours, especially my triphammer collection... (naughty me!)
But i find re-wicking it really easy so i'm pleased about that.
I've also noticed the battery life but between us we have 5 batteries and i'm pretty strict about always having them charged!

I've asked for one for my birthday, so will feedback in a couple of weeks!

I solved the wetting-itself problem! I added a bit of extra cotton as a flavour wick that partially solved it. Then I realised that when I vape I have a tendency to blow down the atomiser a tad before I start sucking. This is not a bad tactic on a standard silica wick as it seems to help keep the chimney clear. However, cotton wicks wick faster so I was blowing a bit of juice out of the bottom hole onto the battery Blush As long as I remember not to do this it doesn't wet itself any more. The chimney gets a bit soggy but not to the point of gurgling.

Best of all, I have started making my own micro-ish coils and having the naturevape to compare to has given me the confidence to do this. I'm currently vaping a home-made 8-turn coil with a cotton wick (1.8 ohms) in a good old GS-H2. It's comparable in flavour and vapour production and cost me about 4p Smile

Not so clever that I can work out the close focus on my camera and take pics unfortunately. I got a good one yesterday but accidentally deleted it Grin
