Why is it so easy to quit smoking using vaper?

2 weeks in and haven't even been tempted ... even on a night out. I am a 28 year smoker on 20 - 25 a day. I didn't even decide to give up smoking in advance ... just decided on the day.

I feel like i am smoking ...I have not 'stopped' smoking ... just smoking in a different way...

I am going to hit a wall aren't i ???

Not necessarily, I was like that too. I can stop and start any time and I don't seem to get withdrawal or anything. I've stopped for months and months in the past, currently haven't smoked in ages but will occasionally on a night out but then not want to the next day.

I think some people just find it easier than others!

Everyone is different, but you certainly aren't unusual going by many people here. Vaping is definitely a replacement for smoking - it replaces both the nicotine AND the hand to mouth action which is why it's so successful as a method of quitting. There will hopefully be no wall, as you aren't depriving yourself of anything except the harmful elements of smoke Grin

Some people (e.g. me!) have to dual fuel for a while, but many others just swap in one single day & never go back to stinkies Smile.

I have 'stopped' smoking several times over the years - always cold turkey and always stop for over a year - alcohol has always been my reason for starting again. I have always found the nicotine easy to stop before - the puffing and blowing smoke is what i miss - the habit !

But seriously this is mad - still using nicotine but intend to go on a very low dose asap.

It is like magic !!

I had smoked for 30 years but have not had a cig since starting vaping 18 months ago.

More importantly, I don't want one ! Grin

It's magic indeed.

Well done! Flowers

9 1/2 months in and I haven't 'hit a wall' yet. Mind you, I'm not that bothered about cutting down the nicotine. I like nicotine and think it's bloody marvellous being able to enjoy it without killing myself slowly in the process.

YY Polter to 'I don't want one' - the only time I fell off the wagon was when I didn't take enough juice for a night out and ended up smoking 2 roll ups. I would have much preferred a vape but couldn't find anything in the local shops to tide me over (the best I could find was 6mg menthol cig-alike from a brand I'd never heard of with misspelt writing on the pack Hmm).

It brill isn't it! I'm a 20 year, 20 a day smoker and have found it so easy! I have had a few stinkies, on a night out, but didn't feel like i had to smoke the next day or anything....
I'm not fussed about cutting down the nicotine either, probably as i have a big collection of 18mg juice!
A bit addicted to triphammer just now, been vaping Neapolitan ice cream flavour all day.. mmmmmm!!

Well done everyone. Nice to know I might not hit a wall.

It's easy because vaping is EVIL and the invention of the DEVIL. Satan wants you to vape so he makes it enjoyable.

Or not, as the case may be.

@ Annie Grin Wink

You must have read some of the old "Evangelical" threads.......

I even posted on one, but I had to get special dispensation from the priest and wash my hands thoroughly afterwards.
