Well turns out you have to calibrate it with your computer, ds had a go and then dh - he's in IT. So, not happy. That night, after trying again and turning it off, the bloody thing started flashing and producing plumes of smoke till I shot up in bed and removed the batteries.
Anyway, have been in touch for a refund, and the guy started quoting word for word, numerous posts about it I'd said on mumsnet- which seems odd since its my husbands account. I'm a bit creeped out by this and feel violated. And of cours its basically my fault..anyway if I INSIST on a refund I have to pay postage, which isn't right if the item is faulty am I correct? I just want my money back and not to have to deal with this but will be filing a complaint with amazon if he doesn't respond. Oh and a classic was " you know it's filled when liquid comes running down the side but you can just clean it with a cloth." Handy. No doubt he's reading this, but personally I think they've rushed it into production and its not ready yet.
