No news from supplier, but when I got it, I noticed the threads on the clearomiser were wonky, and it wouldn't close properly- so I had to buy a new one. Also, I've read this elsewhere and it's true, apparently the body is aluminium, and the battery compartment threads had started to get a bit chewed, not good for a week old item and battery life isn't great so I wonder how it would hold up. Maybe I got a bad one, but if you're in a shop check the base battery compartment and see how it looks. I'm 100% more happy with the svd, and it uses the same batteries so that's handy. I loved the look of it, the mvp2 will always be my main man, then svd, then spinner for days out. The quality of the svd is much better, even though its uglier.

What sort of clearo did it come with shona?

Shonajay · 05/05/2014 14:23

The same as on my svd a metal one with long threads and swivel tip.

iclear 30? I must say I have found them to be quite leaky although a lot of people seem to love them. I must give mine another go because the gs-h2 looks a bit pathetic on top of my vamo, especially now I have a big battery in it.

Did they give you a refund in the end?

Shonajay · 05/05/2014 20:23

Nope, no,refund as yet. AND tonight, my Innokin mVp2 is DEAD. As a dodo. I've tried charging it via computer, apple charger, anything. No lights coming on, nothing. I'm rapidly going off Innoken products. Any ideas?

OP posts:
PlentyOfPubeGardens · 05/05/2014 20:40

Daft question but have you accidentally turned it off? Try pressing the button 5 times quickly.

Shonajay · 05/05/2014 22:08

Okay, you clever person if this works I will be a happy bunny....nope nothing. Also, previously when I charged it, the light came on, that's not happening either. It was my favourite because of the battery life, don't know what to do now, the svd is great but two chargeable batteries and they don't last as long. Gutted.

Oh shit Sad You seem to have rotten luck shona. You should get a refund on the mvp if it's dead, you've only been using it a couple of weeks. Did you get it from the same place as the coolfire?

I know you've tried plugging it in different places but have you tried a different charging lead? Some people were using kindle leads on one of the other threads without problems, I think they are just standard micro usb leads.

Shonajay · 06/05/2014 13:27

Tried all sorts of leads, everything. Dh got in touch with amazon and full refund, also they don't want it back!? So I can send your charger back. I've bought one of these instead.

It's a Janty MID which I'd never heard of but seems to be getting good reviews. Ie got my innokin svd and my rainbow spinner still, so I'm covered for now! Phew!x

OP posts:
PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/05/2014 14:06

Noooo don't send the charger back! I have a drawer which won't quite close because of all the charging leads in there!

Good luck with the Janty. DH and I now have between us - 7 egos, 1 ego twist, 2 mvps and 2 vamos (with 4x18350 and 4x18650 batteries) so I think we're alright.

The only dodgy battery I have ever had was one from Apollo I bought right back when I started. I sent that back for replacement twice and still didn't get one that would hold a charge after a week or so. They offer a 'lifetime guarantee' but make it such a palaver to claim that I just gave up in the end.

Shonajay · 06/05/2014 22:03

What do you think of the vamos? Have you heard of the Janty? Apparently it sets itself to your oh late pattern or something, I really waned another MVP but since that's two screwed up on me I was reluctant. Which is alloying as thet have great battery life.

OP posts:
Raia · 06/05/2014 22:47

I'm worried now that my MVP is about to give up the ghost Confused I got mine about the same time as you I think Shona? Yikes. Friend has a vamo and is really happy with it so perhaps those are the way to go!

Shonajay · 07/05/2014 07:51

Raia, I was in bed and its battery was dead so was going to recharge in the morning. It suddenly turned itself on, vaped some smoke, then off again. When I tried to recharge no lights, nothing. Amazon don't want it back they said the battery can just go!

OP posts:
PlentyOfPubeGardens · 07/05/2014 08:06

Wow, you had TWO batteries turn themselves on? That is really strange, I've never heard of it happening until your coolfire incident. I think I'd be suspecting a poltergeist!

I have two MVPs and find them very reliable. The older one I have been using since christmas. I fell over with it in March and it broke my fall on a concrete pavement and got scuffed to fuck. I was a bit suspicious of it for a while - I thought the battery life was not so good and that it was getting a bit warm when I was using it but actually it's fine, I was just being paranoid.

I like the Vamo but it's definitely better with the bigger 18650 battery in it. The smaller 18350 only has 700 mah so it doesn't last that long. I also can't work out why it's so much 'hotter' than the mvp on the same settings.

Good luck with the Janty Shona, I've never come across one of those.

Shonajay · 08/05/2014 07:46

Damn poltergeists! Never heard of the janty either but really wanted another MVP but not risking it. The innokin svd is fab, but ugly, but thank god I bought it!

OP posts:
Shonajay · 15/05/2014 19:34

janty is a nightmare. Techy son trying to set up vape patterns!? On computer. A and the cartomiser is like cotton wool so keep getting a mouthful of vape juice. Gave my son the svd he loves it, so I've ordered another rainbow spinner. Simple, pretty, and bloody cheap and reliable. Oh and got a full refund for the innokin coolfire.

OP posts:
FlockOfTwats · 17/05/2014 23:49

You have terrible luck with innokin Shona - Most of my stuff is innokin and the only problem i've ever had what with a coil that had a tiny bit missing out of the seal and leaked - It only needed a new coil but he gave me a whole iClear 30b and didn't want the old one back.

The iClear 30 is my least favourite. I 30s is my absolute favourite, i have it on my MVP2 pretty much constantly. I like the 16 nd 16b too. I want a 16D (Which is like innokins version of a gs-h2.

Shonajay · 18/05/2014 00:55

Well I bought another rainbow spinner, and am loving it! Ran out of my favourite juice so mixed banana with 24mg vanilla (normally I vape18 but oh the day I've had! And it's delicious, really the best throat hit I've had ever.x

OP posts:
Shonajay · 18/05/2014 18:21

I just bought some gs- h2's from amazon five pack, and included a charger. I've decided I didn't like battery operated thingies so am sticking to my rainbows.

OP posts:
PlentyOfPubeGardens · 18/05/2014 18:47

I'm so pleased you are finding some kit that works for you, Shona!

Shonajay · 20/05/2014 13:47

Finally. Thanks, x
