As you know I ordered an innokin coolfire2 last week. The thread on the top of the clearo was tight and I didn't like to force it, so bought a replacement. Then, I noticed it kept leaking, small amounts, so I started under filling. Well, tonight decide to give it another go, freshly charged batteries, filled to 2ml, it immediately turns itself on, and starts producing smoke and making a crackling noise. Suddenly smoke turned into plumes, got battery out ASAP and whole of battery compartment was full of vape fluid! I felt it getting warm when I picked it up but it was sitting by my bedside table last night and could have just turned itself on then and gone on bloody fire. Am really shaking. I just hope the sellers are reasonable- I want a refund, not going near one of these again! It was The Vape Specialists, good website so hopefully they will be reasonable.

Oh my Shona that sounds really scary! Innokin is a reputable make too, not like you'd got the cheapest clone battery you could find on e-bay or anything.

Hope you can get that sorted with the vendor!

Thanks allergic, I know! Bloody scary too. I'd advise anyone to remove batteries (as in the ones you take in and out to,charge) out if you're not in or asleep. I freaked. X

I would have thought The Vape Specialists would be helpful.

That's an awful experience, Shona.

Fucking hell that sonds scary. I hope you get a refund. Could the liquid have got into thecircuitry and caused a short? They should be a bit better insulated than that!

Shonajay · 29/04/2014 05:07

Pubegardens that's what dh says, I've emailed them so will see. It certainly wasn't anything I did - I hope, but I read ALL the instructions x

Very worrying. Will be interested to hear what Vape Specialists have to say.

ginmakesitallok · 29/04/2014 21:20

Surely the problem was caused by the tank not the battery? You don't seem to be having much luck Shona!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/04/2014 22:03

The leak will be caused by the tank but it's worrying if it can get in the electrics so easily. DH dropped his ego in the fish pond the other week (that sounds funny Grin) and it was completely fine.

Shonajay · 02/05/2014 12:24

Yes I think it was the tank- I've bought another vaporiser and the batteries are working fine in it. Haven't heard back yet. My innokin MVP turned itself on and off today- weird, I'm getting a bit freaked out!
