Have just discovered this site - what a relief to know others are finding the whole step-mum bit tricky at times!
My gorgeous, lovely, amazing boyfriend has a 6 yr old son who lives with him full time and 2 teenage step-daughters, the 6 yr old's sisters who visit at wknds. I am a primary teacher so was expecting to find it quite easy, enjoying the company of children. How wrong I was! I often find myself feeling really quite of the children who take up so much of my boyfriends time! There are, however times when I wouldn't change it for the world! A real mix of emotions - swings and roundabouts!I am 26 and no kids of my own - a whole new experience. But, a tear down the line and we are stll going strong!

Welcome

A question, how come your bf has his son living with him full time?

Oh and here's another step parents website you will probably find useful.

Best of Luck.

Hi - thanks for the welcome! His wife left him, the 6 yr old and 2 daughters over a year ago. They all lived together for a while and now the girls live with their dad most of the time. Thanks for the other website - will take a look now.
Thank you!
