Ongoing support thread for Stepmums - 'But You Knew What You Were Getting Into!'

In the spirit of the Stately Homes thread, it's time we had an ongoing thread for all Stepmums to have a safe space for support and letting off steam.

Rules:

1. A safe space to support each other. We offer a friendly ear and support when going through tough times.

1. The agreed assumption that we are supportive of our step children and do care about their welfare. We won't support anything that undermines that.

1. Any deliberate step mum bashing will be answered with a 🍪 We won't engage or argue with goady or aggressive posters looking to bash us.

Forgot to add, I've been a step mum for over 20 years to two now adult DSDs. We have two kids together.

We've been through the whole gambit of blended family drama! I was a step child myself but there's absolutely no way I knew what I was getting into!
