How would you bedroom allocate the following .

4 bedroom house with 1 room down into a bedroom so 5 bedrooms.

2 adults .

1 boy who will be 13 this year living fulltime

1 girl who will be 10 living fulltime

1 girl 2 years old fulltime

1 boy 6 years living every other week for 7 days

1 girl 10 years every other week living 1-2 nights a week, ever other week.

Many thanks

10 year olds sharing as one of them only stays 2 in 14 max

Spacerader · 11/08/2023 13:47

All have thier own room and girl whibstays every other week for 1-2 nights shared with girl 10 who stays full time.

Spacerader · 11/08/2023 13:49

And give the two 10 years old girls the largest room.

TomatoSandwiches · 11/08/2023 13:56

2 adults in one with the 2yr old in the adjoining bedroom.

13yr old in one alone.

6yr old boy in one alone.

The two 10yr old girls in the biggest room .

I'd partition the biggest room for the 10 year olds.

SausageRoll2020 · 11/08/2023 15:05

This one seems fairly clear
The 2 adults share (I'm presuming they are a couple)
The 2 10 year old girls share (partition of room if possible but if not I'd expect them to have the largest room after the master)
All other children have one bedroom each.

The only other possible option might be having the 2 & 6 year olds share but this would only work for around 4 years as they are opposite sex.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 11/08/2023 15:07

Agree with others, 2 adults share obviously and then the 10 year old girls can share, its not full time and makes the most sense.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 11/08/2023 15:15

The 10 year olds sharing is the only logical solution here. The 13 year old needs his own room, the 6 year old should have his own room so he isn't sharing with the girls. No-one is likely to want to share with the toddler.

Waterlooville · 11/08/2023 15:25

It depends on personalities but I'd err towards putting siblings together despite the sex difference. They can change in the bathroom. Are there any ensuites? The boy 6/girl 10, are they siblings? I'd put them together. If I think of my kids, they'd tolerate sharing with their sibling, but not my boyfriend's kids.

MillicentTrilbyHiggins · 11/08/2023 15:27

Assuming the EOW dc are there the same week I'd put the 10 year olds in together, everyone else gets their own room.

StampOnTheGround · 11/08/2023 15:32

As everyone mentioned above, seems a fairly straightforward one compared to some we see on here! 😊

aSofaNearYou · 11/08/2023 15:50

10 year old's sharing, unless they don't get on in which case EOW 10 year old in with their sibling if they have one, I assume the 6 year old.

parietal · 11/08/2023 15:50

10 years olds will have to share but zone the room or divide it with a curtain or bookshelf so they each have their own space.

HamishTheCamel · 11/08/2023 15:53

Are the non full time children there the same week or alternating weeks? If the latter, they should share.

holabiatches · 11/08/2023 18:06

Everyone has there own with 13yo downstairs if he feels comfortable doing so…

Louoby · 11/08/2023 18:13

Bedroom 1 - 2 adults
Bedroom 2 - 10 year old girl living full time
Bedroom 3 - 13 year old boy living full time
Bedroom 4 - 6 year old boy living 7/14 days
Bedroom 5 - 2 year old girl full time

10 year old girl living 2/14 nights sleeps in 2 year old girl room for now.
