Just a nice post for a change! We’ve just come back from holiday and their mums come to pick them up and as I’ve given my DSD a cuddle goodbye she just said ‘I love you so much’ my heart has melted!

Ah, that’s lovely. I remember a thread previously about the word for step-child/stepmom etc being bonus-child etc in another language (Swedish?) which I thought was really nice. Sounds like you’re a well loved bonus-mum 💐

I think being a step parent definitely has its challenges without a doubt however when you hear things like this makes it all worth it ❤️
