I was given some lovely advice on here for a thank you gift for my sons DSM and wanted to thank you all, he's not with DXH & DSM this weekend so DSM and I had a text chat and with her and we've decided that when our DS gets married we are going to have the most fun party table!
I thank you for your advice and want to wish all you lovely stepmums a lovely day. You may not feel as appreciated as you should, but parenting a child you didn't choose is tough and I hope you get spoilt 💐💐💐

Totally get your view point OP.
SM2 to my 2 DCs has transformed the relationship between their DF and the DCs and in my mind saved it. It was on fast road to hell for far too long.

Ex is away with work and we went round to take her a cake they had chosen. We all sat and had a drink and slice.

She has been an asset to their lives, ensuring Dad stays with them and knows them. Now whether EX can keep her is another matter!

How lovely! I'm not a SM, don't have a SM and my dd doesn't have a SM either, so no stake in this, but it's really lovely to see that there are some fantastic step mums out there, and some fantastic mums too, who recognise that their dcs will only benefit from a positive relationship with their step mums. Your children are all very lucky to have parents who are mature and wise enough to put their needs first!
