Anyone looking forward to seeing their SCs this weekend?

I am! I am using them as an excuse to bake a cake I want to make and we're going to a fireworks display tomorrow.

Then they are off to do something with their mum on Sunday so we get some childfree time too.

I am just posting as this forum can be really negative sometimes so I thought we could do with some happiness.

I was because we had firework plans but we now aren't having the SC this weekend.
Mum has decided otherwise so nothing we can do.

My sc are lovely. They come and go as they please and it's always a nice surprise when they turn up outside of their expected weekend. They are late teens. And even though I am not married to their Dad, they introduce me to their friends as their step mum.

Spent all last week with mine, lovely girls. Just had a text from eldest (15yo) asking about her dad (he's having some intense medical treatment atm) and saying she loves us both.
That cheered me
It hasn't always been smooth sailing but it's lovely nowadays

My SS no longer stays here post me leaving his dad but he came round yesterday to see his siblings and asked if we can get matching tattoos bless him

I'm not but my toddler is and that makes me a bit happy
