Can 2 parents submit a secondary school application for the same child?
My ex has rather suspiciously allowed me to apply for secndary Schools for our son, but it seems has also been grooming him to a School next to her house for obvious reasons, rather than the equidistant School his sister alrerdy goes to. Thanks

No. There should be one application, made to the local education authority for the child’s main address. LEAs usually have information on their website about how they will determine which is the child’s main address. Often, it’s about where the child spends most nights.

grooming - seriously not an appropriate word in this context. if you have done the application what evidence do you have she hs done a separate one - which will incidentally be picked up and both of you contacted to reconcile

You can both make an application, but they will only accept one. There will be a hold placed on your sons application until you both come to an agreement, if you cannot agreed prior to the application deadline then it will go to the local authority to deal with. They will then offer a place at the closest school to your son’s residential address that has available spaces. So depending on which schools you’ve both chosen, if you can’t agree you may just end up with one neither of you want.

I think if you ring the schools admissions team at the local authority where the school(s) are situated they may be able to tell you? But I'm not 100% sure due to data protection!
