Indifferent to DSC - is this normal?

I genuinely like them, but I don't mind when they aren't here. I'm indifferent I guess. I don't care about their school grades or anything like that. We chat a bit and they get on well with DC. I just see them as part of the family that are there. Is that normal. I kind of see them as family but I don't see them as my kids.

You don't sound indifferent to me if you see them as part of the family when they are there. I care a great deal about my step kids but I don't miss them when they're not here or think of them as my children. I think it's normal.

I guess that's thats what I mean. I don't really care if they are here or not. But yes maybe I am not indifferent to their actual existence as I quite like them. Just wouldn't miss them if I didn't see them for months.

I feel the same as you. I'm not particularly interested in what is going on at school or their activities, I have enough going on with my own. When they are not here I don't miss them or even think about them to be honest. They're not my children and I am not 'allowed' to communicate with them when they're not at my house so with that blocker in place they'll always be separate.

I am completely indifferent to mine, in the whole sense of the word.

Yes completely understand and feel the same as you do!
