Today, when I dropped my DSD (almost 9) off at her sports class, she turned around when running in and shouted ‘bye bye I love you’ for all the world (a lot of parents) to hear. ahh 🥰. Sometimes all the sacrifice and stress feels worth it.

That’s lovely. How long have you been in her life?

It was lovely :-)
I’ve known her since she was one.

Awww that's lovely OP! My DS stepmom has been in his life for a few years now. She dropped him off with me one weekend when DS dad couldn't. As my son left the car he shouted to her "Bye I love you!" and it melted my heart. She's a lovely woman and really good to him.

Ooh @WhatInFreshHell that’s so lovely too.

@WhatInFreshHell The generosity of your heart is also reflected in your son. You are as lovely as your son's DSM Flowers

It's lovely when this happens. It feels different coming from your step children. ❤️
