DSD coming over whilst I'm positive

I'm sure I've seen threads on this before but cant find them.

Its our weekend to have DSD, DH said he doesn't mind if she comes and dsd's mum will almost certainly say she still has to come.

What's been the general consensus on this?

Is it irresponsible? Do I get a say.... will I ultimately be blamed if she brings it home.

I think it's madness that your dad's mum would risk bringing covid into her household when she doesn't need to but I guess it's her risk to take.

Obviously dad should be DSD in my above post.

My girls still went to their dads when his girlfriend had covid. They had both had it though so I was less worried. As it happens I did catch covid a couple of days after collecting them but tbh if you've not had it yet it's just a matter of time so I wasn't that bothered. It's more hassle to start changing dates as he's very rigid about it and could be bothered with the accusations of withholding contact etc

That's a good point @liveforsummer
Getting covid at some point is kind of inevitable at this stage.

I am in the exact same position and livid that it's going to be my fault if they catch it even though mum is the one insisting it will be fine and they can come over and DH is too much of a wuss to say no.

Their mother will send her but blame you if DSD gets covid? I hope your DH tells her to stop being a twit if this happens and doesn’t pass horrible messages on to you.

Yup. Aparantly it should be fine if I isolate...
