Always ALWAYS use the term 'bio mum' when referring to the ex...

JOKE.

Aquamarine1029 · 26/07/2021 20:46

I don't use any of those dumb short cuts aside from MIL (mother-in-law). I can't stand them and they can also be confusing. For example, DS could be referring to a son or a sister, DF could be a father or fiance. It's not hard to just write it out imo.

XStaysee · 26/07/2021 20:51

Bio mum has a good ring to it tho....haha

Yeah I may not use them, i prefer actual words most of the time!

Never ever never use the term "skids" it is either DSC, SC or use proper words.

Oh and you are suppose to worship said step-children. Also you must go out of your way to appease the step-kids parents and be a door mat according to some posters....

DP - Dear Partner (careful using this on stepparents board as you'll get people saying YoU'RE nOt A STeP PaRenT IF YoU'RE noT MArRiED even though you've been together 15+ years.)
DW - Dear Wife

Tell those idiots that you are a "de facto step-parent" and ignore.

a list of common acronyms

Dollyparton3 · 27/07/2021 09:43

I always find that referring to the kids mum as "the golden uterus" goes down pretty well on this board Grin
