Anyone having struggle with one parent more stricter then the other ?

No, I leave all that to DH as their dad though.

I mean my DH is a softie with DSC but mum makes sure he is a dad not a friend.

Sometimes he says it feels two against one and I should be with his ex because we have very similar approach to the kids which is helpful (and my god am I grateful).

Disney dads are a problem and can cause massive issues as SM feels like they have to step up to fill the disney shaped hole and mums feel like boundaries are being crossed. Both are approaching it from valid area of concern. But only way to deal with disney dads is to disconnect and make him go into that role. Only dads are the ones that seem to be able to nope out of parenting.

Family house rules which everyone takes part in creating has helped us.
